Chapter 13

The moment Isabelle touched her, Natalie flung her off in disgust. Waiting even a second would have been an insult to herself.
Isabelle stumbled back, stunned. She hadn’t expected the idiot to actually get physical in public!
A calculating glint flashed in her eyes, and she decided to milk the moment by collapsing to the ground.
“Ah!”
Isabelle let out a sharp cry, her perfectly styled hair falling into a mess. Her eyes welled up instantly as she looked up at Natalie with an expression of pure, disbelieving hurt.
“Natalie, I only wanted to talk to you. How… how could you push me?”
Her voice trembled as if she were about to sob, but her eyes quickly scanned the surrounding crowd and the TV reporters.
As expected, the scene immediately drew everyone’s attention.
The cameras locked onto them. The reporter looked ecstatic-wealthy sisters fighting? Physical assault? This was a way better headline than some heartwarming reunion!
Julia Wilson’s face paled. She rushed over with a scream. “Isabelle! Are you okay?”
She helped her daughter up, then whirled on Natalie, her voice dripping with pure hatred. “Natalie Moore! What is wrong with you? Attacking her in public? Where is your upbringing?!”
Michael Grant approached with a grim face, shielding Isabelle. He looked at Natalie with eyes full of disappointment and ice.
“Natalie, I never realized you were so malicious! Isabelle was only trying to congratulate you, and you dared to shove her? Is this the arrogance you learned after years of the Grant family providing for you?!”
He spoke loudly enough for the entire crowd to hear every word.
The murmurs grew louder, and the gazes directed at Natalie turned into ones of contempt and blame.
Natalie stood there holding her cacti bouquet, finding the whole thing hysterical.
“Heh. Are you guys part dandelion?”
“What?”
Michael was momentarily stunned by the nonsensical question.
“Because you start acting the moment the wind blows.”
Natalie narrowed her eyes, her voice devoid of warmth. “Keep up the drama, and I’ll feed you these cacti.”

“You…” Michael sputtered, speechless.
The three Grants froze, their faces turning red and pale with rage.

Julia couldn’t believe she was being so arrogant. Finally finding an outlet for her anger, she pointed a finger at Natalie, her voice shrill.
“The Grant family fed you, clothed you, and paid for your school! We didn’t expect gratitude, but you have no right to bully Isabelle! She is our biological daughter, our pride and joy! Who do you think you are, you outsider?!”
“And now you’re snapping at everyone like a rabid dog. It seems kicking you out was the best decision we ever made!”
The crowd erupted into hushed whispers.
“What? She was kicked out of the family?”
“No wonder she’s so cocky. She has nothing left to lose!”
“Kicked out and still acting like this? How shameless…”
The tide of public opinion shifted. People looked at Natalie with even deeper disgust, as if she were ungrateful trash that had been rightfully discarded.
Isabelle buried her face in Julia’s arms, barely able to hide her triumphant smirk.
‘She’s finally out! Finally, it was official and public!’ Isabelle thought.
‘Let’s see this bitch try to act superior now!’
Michael took a deep breath. Seeing her so stubborn, he decided to stop holding back.
“That’s right. The Grant family cut ties with her long ago! From this day forward, she has nothing to do with
us!”
He looked around and raised his voice, “Let everyone here be a witness! Whatever this person does from now on is not our responsibility. If she dares to use the Grant name for scams or harass my sister again, don’t blame us for being ruthless!”
This righteous declaration instantly left Natalie isolated, facing the judgment of the entire crowd.
Reporters scribbled furiously, cameras focused on Natalie, waiting for her to break down, beg, or fly into a
rage.
However, Natalie just tilted her head slightly, as if she were actually paying attention.
Then, she nodded.
“Oh,” she said.

Michael, ready with more verbal pressure, choked on his next words.
‘Oh…?’
The onlookers were stunned. It didn’t look like she cared about the Grants at all.

Isabelle hadn’t expected this reaction either. It felt like punching air, making them look like the ones making a
scene.
She gritted her teeth, finally realizing that Natalie was wearing a designer dress.
‘No way. How is that even possible?’ Isabelle thought.
‘She was penniless when she was kicked out. There was no way she could afford that, and it certainly didn’t look like a knock-off.
Isabelle’s eyes flickered between Natalie and Blondie, and she suddenly “realized” something.
She gently tugged Julia’s sleeve and spoke in a voice just loud enough for the reporters to catch, sounding shocked and pained.
“Mom, look at her clothes…. they’re from that luxury brand, aren’t they? I remember their basic pieces start at six figures. And that guy next to her, he doesn’t look like an ordinary person either.”
She trailed off, but her implication was crystal clear.
A foster daughter recently kicked out and supposed to be broke was suddenly wearing high-end luxury and being escorted by a wealthy-looking young man…
What else could it be?
The whispers took a nastier turn. The look in the crowd’s eyes shifted from disgust to sordid speculation and
contempt.
“No way… Seriously? That luxury brand?” someone blurted out.
“No wonder she’s so bold. She found a ‘sponsor…”
