Chapter 15

It suddenly dawned on them, they were in a public place!

Jason Mitchell was an A-list superstar!

Appearing so recklessly wouldn’t just keep them from their sister, it would trigger a massive riot and potentially drag her into unnecessary trouble!

“Get in the car! Now!”

Blake Mitchell reacted the fastest, shoving a frustrated Jason back into the car before diving in himself.

Andrew and Ethan Mitchell retreated into the vehicle immediately.

Only Ryan Mitchell was a beat slow, nearly getting his arm grabbed by an overexcited fan. Terrified, he scrambled into the driver’s seat.

Inside the car, the atmosphere was heavy with frustration.

“I’m sorry…” Jason apologized gloomily, his voice thick with self-reproach. “I was too careless.”

Blake patted his shoulder. “It’s not just you. We were all acting on impulse.”

Who could stay calm after seeing their sister being bullied?

Andrew sighed. “It’s fine. She’s back at the hotel now. It’s not too late to go.”

Twenty minutes later, they stood in the hotel lobby.

Ding!

The elevator reached the executive floor.

The doors slid open to a quiet, carpeted hallway.

Following the room numbers, they arrived at Natalie Moore’s suite.

Blake stood at the front, his hand hovering over the doorbell. He hesitated for a full three seconds.

He could feel the four sets of tense, expectant eyes behind him.

Finally, he steeled his nerves and pressed the button.

The crisp chime echoed through the silent corridor. He could hear nothing but the frantic pounding of his

own heart.

The few seconds of waiting felt like a century.

Faint footsteps approached from inside.

Then, with a soft click, the lock turned.

The door was pulled open.

Someone appeared at the door.

Instead of Natalie, they saw a young man in casual clothes with platinum blond hair.

The five brothers blinked, double-checking the room number. It was the right place.

Blondie eyed them suspiciously. “Who are you looking for?”

Ethan was the first to recover, his informants had mentioned a guy constantly trailing their sister.

Ethan stepped forward and said, “Hello, we’re looking for Natalie Moore. Is she in?”

“Boss, someone’s here for you!”

Blondie shouted inside. After hearing a confirmation to let them in, he stepped aside to usher them through.

Natalie was sitting cross-legged on a low chair by the floor-to-ceiling window. She had changed into a white T-shirt and black checkered trousers, her long hair tied in a loose bun.

As they entered, she closed the laptop on the small table and stood up.

“Sister!!”

Ryan’s eyes lit up enough to blind someone. He charged at her without a second thought.

Natalie frowned and stepped back to avoid him.

Ryan stumbled, nearly hitting the table before catching his balance.

“Ryan!”

Andrew’s temple throbbed. He was still so reckless, what if he scared her?

Natalie’s eyes swept over them. “You’ve been following me for a while and went through the trouble of giving me gifts. What’s the goal?”

She sat on the sofa, her face unreadable. She didn’t seem surprised by their arrival at all.

Her utter composure made the five brothers lose their momentum. Their prepared speeches stuck in then throats.

Seeing their sister up close for the first time, they couldn’t help but stare, mesmerized.

Under the soft hotel lights, her skin was almost translucent. She looked remarkably like their mother in her youth, but possessed a cold, distinct aura of her own.

She sat there casually, back straight, relaxed yet poised.

She was ethereal yet distant.

That was the universal first impression among the brothers.

It wasn’t an act of arrogance or naive innocence, it was a chilling maturity that didn’t belong to someone her

age.

She didn’t even ask who they were. She just watched them with clear, cold eyes, waiting for an explanation.

Her absolute calm left the Mitchell brothers, men used to being in control, feeling completely out of their element.

Andrew was the first to regain his composure.

He took a step forward, stopping at a respectful distance to avoid making her uncomfortable while showing his sincerity.

“So you knew… I apologize. We just wanted to ensure you were safe.”

Natalie tilted her head. “Why would you need to ensure my safety?”

Blake took a deep breath and came clean.

“We are from the Mitchell family in Harbor City. We’re here to find you. You are actually our sister, lost for nineteen years!”

Beside them, Blondie, who had been enjoying the drama, froze.

‘Wait, what?’ he thought, his brain short-circuiting.

‘Did I hear that right?’

Natalie was the long-lost daughter of the Harbor City Mitchells? He’d heard they were looking for a missing girl, but he never imagined it was her!

“We haven’t made a mistake. You are definitely our sister!”

Ryan swallowed hard, looking at Natalie expectantly.

Jason pulled off his mask, revealing his world-class handsome face.

He looked at her, his eyes filled with raw excitement and longing. “I’m your fourth brother, Jason Mitchell. We’ve been looking for you for so long. Truly.”
