The Scorned Heiress's Hidden Empire (by Jade Quinn) novel Chapter 217

Chapter 217 Self Dr Sinding

Chapter 217 Self-Destructing

Carl Nash Swallowed hard, feeling his nerves fray and instinctively hid behind Blake Mitchell

Carl thought to himself. Once we get home today, Zachary’s probably going kill me, and then our Boss will probably kill Zachary

Before Blake could say a word, engines suddenly rumbled from the far end of the dock.

This time, it wasn’t just seven or eight cars. It was more than a dozen, all-black sedans, their bodies reflecting a cald, metallic sheen under the sun.

The cars pulled up, doors swung open, and more than a hundred people stepped out. They were all wearing identical black tactical jackets, each gripping a metal rod, with guns holstered at their waists.

They lined up neatly, like a real army.

The leader was Ashton Sharma. He glanced across the dock, then strode up to Natalie, bowed his head slightly, and said, Boss, just say the word, and I’ll wipe out the Bone Syndicate right now.”

They were worried something might happen to Natalie and Blake, so they quietly stationed their crew nearby, just in case. Sure enough, the other side made a move not long after, and they sprang into action right away.

On the dock, the two groups faced off, eyeing each other warily.

Carl felt like he needed a heart pill just to survive this. He quickly stepped forward, forcing a nervous laugh. “Hey, hey, peace is good for business, right? Let’s all put the weapons down and talk it out!”

After speaking, he glanced at Zachary, giving him a quick signal. “Drop them, everyone, put the weapons down!*

Zachary frowned. “Put them down? So we just stand here and let them butcher us?”

Carl closed his eyes for a moment. “No, seriously, why are you even here if we’re not fighting?”

Zachary looked baffled, glancing at his own boss and then at Natalie. “Wait, what are you talking about?”

Zachary hadn’t been around when Natalie visited the Bone Syndicate last time, so he didn’t recognize her. The shock on his face was clear. He couldn’t believe the boss of the Phoenix Syndicate was just some kid with blonde hair.

Carl quickly jumped.in to explain, “This is the boss of the Phoenix Syndicate, Natalie, our boss’s own sister. Don’t fight! Come on, we’re family. Don’t go after your own people!”

Zachary was stunned. ‘Sister? Didn’t our boss say she was going to wipe out the Phoenix Syndicate and give it to Natalie?”

It finally clicked for him, and he told his crew to drop their weapons.

Ashton pieced it together. ‘Wait, the boss of the Bone Syndicate is actually the long-lost brother our boss just found?” Natalie glanced at her Phoenix Syndicate crew, giving them a look to stand down and drop their weapons.

Blake stepped forward, sweeping his gaze over the Bone Syndicate crew. “Listen up. From now on, you answer to Natalie first. She’s my sister. I come second.”

Zachary was stunned.

The whole Bone Syndicate were stunned.

“Wait… did the boss just hand us over, just like that? Seriously?’ Everyone was left completely dumbfounded. There was a chorus of pitiful whimpers, the Bone Syndicate crew practically on the verge of tears.

“Sniff… okay, boss… but, um, are we still supposed to call you boss from now on, boss?”

Blake frowned at Zachary, ignored him, and then turned to the Phoenix Syndicate side.

“Fellows, what happened today was on me. From now on, we’re one family. Whatever belongs to the Bone Syndicate now belongs to the Phoenix Syndicate. The Bone Syndicate’s turf is now the Phoenix Syndicate’s turf!”

The Bone Syndicate crew was left speechless. ‘Boss really loses all his backbone when it comes to Natalie. After running in circles, he just handed us over and ended up destroying himself.’

‘Guess we just gotta roll with whoever’s in charge now. Things aren’t gonna be easy.’

But they’d all seen what Natalie could do. No one doubted her strength.

Plus, she was the boss of the Phoenix Syndicate, so of course she’s got what it takes.

Natalie glanced around at everyone. “Alright, that’s it for today. Let’s wrap it up, head home, and call it a night.”

With that, she turned and got into the car. The driver closed the door for her, then walked around to the front and started

That afternoon, Natalie didn’t head back to Causeway Bay. Instead, she went with Blake to Mitchell Manor

Charlotte had just returned from shopping, and when she opened the door to find Natalie at home, she was absolutely delighted. “Hey! Nat, what brings you back here?”

Blake poured her a glass of water. “I happened to run into my sister this afternoon. She had no classes, so she decided to come home with me.”

“Oh, I see! Well, I’ll cook for you tonight, Nat. What do you want to eat?” Charlotte asked, her eyes lighting up. “Anything’s fine, Mom. I love whatever you make,” Natalie replied with a smile.

Charlotte was delighted by Natalie’s answer. “Alright!”

“By the way, I haven’t seen Ryan around these past few days. Nat, have you seen him at school?” Charlotte asked. Natalie shook her head. “He’s probably busy getting ready for the basketball game next week.”

She’d noticed Rosie heading to cheerleading practice every day lately, and Rosie had mentioned it a couple of times. On the way back, Blake had already explained everything about why he’d gone after the Phoenix Syndicate’s goods. He sat down next to Natalie, and after a long, awkward pause, finally asked, “Are you updating today?”

Natalie took a sip of water. “What?”

Then she realized what he meant and nodded. “Yeah, I’ll update it later.”

Blake was still feeling uneasy. The only two people he ever acknowledged as better than him with a gun were the boss of the Phoenix Syndicate and his own sister, Natalie.

Turns out, they were actually the same person. And back then, he’d gone and said, right in front of Natalie, that he was going to wipe out the Phoenix Syndicate. He thought she was just worried about him, but now, thinking about it, he must have looked like a total clown.

Natalie noticed how uneasy Blake looked and poured him a glass of water, giving him a reassuring smile. “It’s really not a big deal, Blake. Don’t stress about it.”

Blake took the glass and nodded. “Alright.”

He knew Natalie wasn’t the type to hold grudges, but he just couldn’t shake off the guilt.

Natalie changed the subject. “Where’s Andrew? Has he been home at all these days?”

“Andrew’s been busy with her love life lately,” Charlotte replied.

Natalie blinked in surprise. “Dating?”

Blake thought for a moment. “Well, it’s not really dating. She hasn’t said yes yet.

ľ

“Andrew used to ignore her and act all superior, like he was too good for her. But now, the girl’s probably sick of him, and Andrew’s the one feeling awkward. He’s coming up with all sorts of ways to run into her lately.

“He even moved into the apartment right across from hers, just to bother her!”
