Chapter 416
Along the way, branches Shagged Skyla’s hair and rain soaked it through, leaving messy strands plastered to her bloodless face. Her eyes stayed fixed on the path ahead, dark and vicious. Moving through the woods, she looked like a vengeful ghost hunting for a life to take.
At that moment, only one thought filled her mind.
Find Winter.
Find Chris.
Just as she brushed away the rain dripping from the branches and was about to keep moving, she suddenly heard the crack of a branch snapping behind her.
A gun was cocked.
Skyla gripped the gun and spun around, only to see two familiar figures emerge from the trees.
For a moment, the three of them faced one another in frozen silence.
Skyla’s face turned cold.
“You’re still alive?” Fabian let out a mocking laugh.
He hadn’t expected the daughter of that old monster Bart to be so hard to kill. Even getting blasted off a cliff hadn’t finished her. Good. He had only rescued her because she had information he needed. If she died, everything tonight would have been for nothing.
He glanced at her bloodstained pants. She was clearly injured, so he signaled for Garrett to carry her.
Garrett’s bomb had bought them some time, but it wouldn’t hold off Chris and Gavin for long. They would probably catch up
soon.
Before Skyla could react, Garrett grabbed her around the waist, threw her over his shoulder, and carried her with one arm.
“Boss Kane, we need to go.”
“Go?” Skyla caught the odd meaning in their exchange. “What backup plan do you have?”

Fabian didn’t even look at her. He waved a hand at Garrett, and Garrett immediately carried Skyla alter hun.
Skyla was upside down, blood rushing to her head. Her face, which had been pale as a ghost, turnered f
“Are you abandoning everyone on the mountain and running? Is there another team coming to pick you up.***

Sensing the killing intent rising from Garrett, Fabian’s expression changed.
“Skyla, what are you doing? Are you trying to waste time and get us all killed?”
Garrett threw Skyla off his shoulder. Her back slammed into a tree, but she didn’t even frown.
She lifted her head, her face turning deathly pale again.
“I said I’m not leaving. If you want to go, then go.‘
