Natalie took the seat as instructed, and the makeup artist immediately got to work, chatting as she prepped her face.
“Wow, your skin is incredible. Hardly anything to cover. You’re playing the cold, enigmatic antagonist, right? Perfect. We’ll
keep the look clean and restrained. The more minimal it is, the stronger the effect.”
The makeup itself was simple. A light base evened out her complexion, while subtle definition around her brows and eyes gave her gaze a deeper, colder edge.
For her lips, the artist chose a muted nude tone so natural that it barely looked like makeup at all. If anything, it only made
her seem more distant.
Her hair needed even less work. The makeup artist brushed her long, straight hair smooth, then drew the front sections away from her face and secured them at the back with a weathered clasp, leaving the rest loose.
The whole process took less than ten minutes.
“All done. Go get changed.“,
The makeup artist clapped her hands once, clearly pleased with the speed of her own work.
A wardrobe assistant came over with the costume. It was a pale blue–gray fantasy robe, spare in design and almost severe in its simplicity. There was no heavy embroidery or ornamentation, only dark woven detailing along the collar and cuffs.
Natalie changed into it and was startled by how perfectly it fit, as though it had been made for her.
The muted tone of the robe made her skin look even fairer. Combined with the cool, restrained makeup, the look gave her a presence that felt distant and difficult to read.
In an instant, she looked every bit the cold, enigmatic antagonist, beautiful, unreadable, and quietly dangerous.
When she walked out of the dressing room, the noisy makeup area suddenly went quiet. The actors who were touching up their makeup or waiting around all turned to stare, clearly impressed.
“Whoa… That vibe…”
“Who’s that? Is she new? I don’t think I’ve seen her before.”
“She’s the villain? That look is just… insane.”
Even Daniel hurried over for a look, and his eyes lit up at once. “Yes. That’s it. That’s exactly the look we needed. Mr. Mitchell was right about you. Come with me. Your scene starts in about twenty minutes. Let’s get you familiar with your blocking and lines first.”
With that, he led her out to the waiting area near the set.
The set was buzzing with activity as they prepared for the next scene, which was a collaboration between Jason and another veferan actor. The script was packed with lines, and the emotions were deep and layered.
Natale was stationed in a quiet corner where she could still keep an eye on the action. She stood there quietly, her gaze

He was dressed in an elaborate fantasy costume, his expression focused as he quietly discussed the details of the scene
with the veteran actor, completely absorbed in his work.
Natalie crossed her arms and leaned against a nearby pillar.
Just then, a commotion broke out on the other side of the hallway, and Natalie instinctively glanced over.
A young woman in an elaborate gown, her makeup flawless, walked over with her assistants in tow and settled onto the chair beside Natalie. It was none other than the lead actress of The Dreambound Years, the rising star, Mandy Collins.
“Ms Collins, I don’t think this is a good…” the assistant stammered.

“Seriously? Are you, an assistant, telling me what to do?” Mandy said coldly. She was clearly taking out all her frustration from the day on Natalie.
Not daring to argue further, the assistant reluctantly walked over to Natalie and forced a polite tone. “Sorry to bother you, miss, but would you mind stepping aside a little? Ms. Collins says you’re… blocking the breeze.”
Natalie had a pretty good grasp of the situation from the earlier exchange.
She turned her head, shot a calm glance at Mandy, who was acting all high and mighty, and then looked at the assistant standing before her, whose face was full of embarrassment.
She didn’t say a word or move an inch, but the cool, detached look in her eyes gave the assistant an inexplicable sense of pressure.
Mandy saw that Natalie didn’t move or say a word, and she got even more pissed off. She stood up, marched right over to Natalie, and raised her voice. “Hey, I’m talking to you. Are you deaf or something? Move it. Do you even know the rules?”
When Mandy finally got a good look at Natalie’s face, her anger didn’t fade at all. In fact, it shot up like wildfire.
Natalie was drop–dead gorgeous, with a cold, untouchable vibe and a hint of danger that made her beauty almost aggressive. Just seeing her made Mandy’s jealousy hit her like a truck.
‘Where did this random nobody come from? Why does she get to look like that? And why is she acting like she’s too good for everyone?‘ Mandy seethed.
Natalie didn’t move an inch, keeping her original posture. When she looked at Mandy, her cool, unflinching gaze made Mandy shiver.
Mandy’s face twisted with anger at Natalie’s indifference. “I’m talking to you. Are you deaf? Move. Get out of my way. Who the hell do you think you are? You’re a complete nobody, and you dare put on that attitude in front of me?”
All that yelling finally got people’s attention.
Nearby crew members and actors waiting for their scenes started glancing over, their faces showing everything from curiosity to amusement to awkwardness.
Natalie finally moved. She stood up straight, no longer leaning against the pillar, but instead of
