But in the very next second, Olivia shoved her away with clear disgust. Isabelle landed hard on the floor, completely dazed.

She looked up at Olivia in disbelief.

“Olivia…” Isabelle whispered, her voice trembling.

Olivia towered over her, eyes full of contempt, as if she were looking at a pile of garbage.

“Don’t call me,” Olivia said coldly.

Olivia drawled, her voice laced with impatience, “Do you really think we’re friends?”

Isabelle was stunned, her mind completely blank.

Olivia went on, “You added me on WhatsApp, saw my invitation in my Instagram, and decided to show up. That makes us close? There are coffee sellers in my Instagram too. Should I call them family?”

A low chuckle rippled through the crowd.

Isabelle’s lips trembled.

She tried to get up, but her legs were so weak she couldn’t even manage it. She just sat there helplessly, looking up at Olivia.

“Olivia, I–I thought we were friends…” Isabelle stammered.

“Friends?” Olivia cut her off, looking her up and down with those beautiful eyes.

Olivia let out a mocking laugh. “You? As if.”

Just then, the security guards burst in. Olivia shot them a glance, and the two guards hauled Isabelle out like yesterday’s

trash.

Olivia turned to the crowd in the banquet hall, her smile flawless as she raised her glass. “Carry on, everyone.”

The music kicked back in, and the vibe snapped right back to normal.

It was as if that whole drama had just been a little sideshow.

Olivia set her glass down and turned to Natalie, a genuine smile lighting up her face.

“Miss Moore, remember me? I’m the one you met at the racetrack last time, Olivia!” she said.

Her gaze was fixed on Natalie, full of anticipation.

Natalie just looked at her calmly and shook her head.

Olivia rubbed her nose, thinking, ‘Whatever, if she doesn’t remember me, so be it‘

After all, Olivia hadn’t made a good impression last time. Back then, she was still crushing on Ryan and even saw Natalie as her imaginary rival.

She’d even acted all catty and petty about it.

But Olivia had to admit, she’d been totally blown away by Natalie’s boss–lady, main character energy. She was just so cool and gorgeous.

After that, the more Olivia thought about it, the more ridiculous her scheming and petty rivalry seemed. She just couldn’t get Natalie out of her head.

Olivia set up this party just for that reason.

She figured that in this crowd, everyone tends to bring friends, so maybe Natalie would tag along.

And she actually did.

Olivia hadn’t expected all this drama to blow up, but hey, no big deal. If Natalie didn’t remember her, at least this time, Natalie would walk away with a much better impression of her.

Ryan frowned at Olivia, something about her just felt off, especially the way she kept glancing at Natalie. But maybe he was just being paranoid.

He shook his head, and out of nowhere realized Evan was standing right beside him.

“Evan! What are you doing here?” Ryan exclaimed.

Evan stuffed his hands in his pockets, flashed Ryan a cocky grin, and shot back, “Why wouldn’t I be here?”

Ryan glanced between Natalie and Evan. “You two know each other?”

“What, are you blind? Didn’t you see us walk in together?” Evan shot back.

“Do you have to be so rude? Who are you insulting?” Ryan snapped.

Ryan was fuming, storming up to Evan until they were practically nose to nose.

Natalie raised an eyebrow at their weird antics, while Olivia had no interest in dealing with them.

Olivia took the chance to go over to Natalie. “Hey, let’s head up to the third floor. There’s tons of cool stuff up there, and the fireworks show kicks off in half an hour.”

Natalie nodded. “Yeah, sounds good.”

Back on the first floor, Ryan and Evan started bickering again.

“Evan, are you off your meds or something? Can’t get enough of picking a fight with me today, huh?” Ryan snapped.

Ryan glared at him, his voice full of irritation.

Evan just smirked back, hands still in his pockets, not backing down at all.

“Who’s picking a fight with you? I’m just telling it like it is. I came in with Natalie. Didn’t you see?” Evan shot back.
