The Scorned Heiress's Hidden Empire (by Jade Quinn) novel Chapter 97

Chapter 97

Sienna felt a little embarrassed by the praise. “Ma’am, you’re being way too polite. Mr. Mitchell coming to the stables is honestly a huge honor for us.

“And with his riding skills? He doesn’t need anyone looking after him. He’s way better than most of the professional riders I’ve seen!”

Charlotte was even happier after hearing that. Andrew wasn’t a kid anymore, but he never really spent time with girls.

As his mom, she knew exactly what was going on.

Andrew had always been calm and steady since he was little, and as he grew up, it was like “cool and noble” got etched right into his bones.

He wouldn’t even spare a glance at any heiress from another family.

Whenever someone tried to introduce him to a girl, he’d just use a business trip overseas as an excuse.

At family gatherings, while other guys were busy adding girls on WhatsApp, Andrew kept a cold face the whole time, freezing out any socialite who tried to get close.

Sometimes, Charlotte even wondered if her son just didn’t care about girls at all.

But today, he didn’t turn down a girl joining him for dinner!

This was literally his first female friend ever.

Charlotte used to wonder why Andrew kept running off to the stables all the time, but now she finally understood why…

Charlotte smiled to herself, crystal clear about what was going on.

Sienna was the kind of girl everyone liked, straightforward and open, never shy or pretentious.

She was the perfect complement to Andrew, who was always so quiet and reserved.

The more Charlotte thought about it, the happier she got, and she just couldn’t keep the smile off her face.

She added another helping to Sienna’s plate and said warmly, “Sienna, have some more. Come over to our house whenever you like, and I will make you something delicious.”

Sienna felt overwhelmed by the kindness and nodded quickly. “Thank you, Auntie!”

The next day, Natalie got a call from her editor for Daybreak, saying there were still a few things about the book signing they needed to talk through.

As soon as she went upstairs, Ryan was already scrambling to grab tickets for the Daybreak signing event.

The news about the ticket release for Daybreak’s signing event was already blowing up online!

Daybreak was the most popular mystery thriller at the moment, and its author, Bluebell, was a real mystery. She never appeared in public, never gave interviews, and even folks at the publishing house had only read her writing. No one had ever actually met her.

The more mysterious she was, the crazier her fans became.

The comment section was exploding with book fans!

“Bluebell is finally showing up in person!!”

“Two years, I’ve been waiting for this day forever!”

“Will I even manage to snag a ticket? This is wild, like thousands fighting for a single spot!”

“I seriously want to know what someone who writes such mind–blowing mysteries actually looks like!”

“Yes, yes, yes! The way she designs those cases in the book is pure genius! Every twist gives me chills!”

“The one I remember best is that locked–room murder. I had to read it three times to figure it out, and in the end, the killer was the least noticeable side character!”

“Bluebell’s brain works on a whole different level. I honestly think she’s the God of Mystery for our generation!”

Ryan wasn’t paying attention to any of that. His phone was showing a three–minute countdown to ticket sales, and he kept muttering under his breath, “Come on, universe, ancestors, give me a break! Let me snag a ticket, let me snag a ticket!”

He glanced over at Ethan, who was sitting next to him, totally chill, just casually browsing on his tablet.

“Ethan!” Ryan called out, panicking.

“Why aren’t you freaking out? It’s about to start! This is Bluebell’s first ever signing event, her first ever! If we miss this, we might never get another chance in our whole lives!”

Ethan didn’t even look up, sounding totally unbothered.

He said, “What’s the rush? The tickets aren’t going anywhere.”

Ryan’s eyes went wide. “Seriously, you talk like you can actually snag one! Do you even know how many people are trying to get these? Bluebell’s got at least eight million fans, maybe even ten million! And there are only a thousand tickets up for grabs!”

Ethan opened a current affairs article, still completely unfazed.

“Oh.”

Ryan was speechless.

He turned to look at Blake, who was sitting on the other side. All five brothers were huge fans of the book Ryan was the one who got them hooked.

At first, they just planned to skim through it, but after reading a few lines, they were completely hooked!

“Blake! Aren’t you even rushing?” Ryan blurted out.

Blake was lounging on the couch, casually polishing a vintage pistol in his hand.

He glanced up at Ryan, his tone just as relaxed.

“What’s the rush?”
