Blondie didn’t get mad. He just walked over, sat down, and rested his chin in his hand, watching them.

Natalie led Rosie to the pool table and helped her get into position.

Spread your feet a little, shoulder–width apart.” Natalie instructed.

Rosie obediently followed Natalie’s instructions.

Natalie moved behind her, leaned forward slightly, and adjusted her stance.

“Lean forward, lower your center of gravity,” Natalie said.

Her hands gently rested on Rosie’s shoulders, helping her adjust her posture.

Rosie froze, barely daring to breathe. Natalie’s cool, fresh scent lingered around her, like bamboo after the rain with just a faint hint of citrus, crisp and intoxicating.

Rosie’s heart started racing for no reason. “Natalie…”

She whispered, “I… I’m a little nervous…”

Natalie’s voice came from behind her. “What are you so nervous about? It’s not like I’m going to eat you.”

Rosie was at a loss for words.

‘Why does that sound so weird?‘ Rosie thought.

Blondie was trying not to laugh. “Haha! Hey, little sidekick, why’s your face so red?”

Rosie shot him a glare, but her cheeks flushed even deeper.

Natalie ignored them and kept teaching.

“Here’s how you set up your bridge,” she said.

She took Rosie’s hand and helped her shape her left hand into a standard bridge. “Thumb up, spread your index and middle fingers, and place the cue right here.”

Rosie kept her head down, watching her own hand. She was really trying to get it right.

“What’s next?” Rosie asked.

Natalie set the cue in Rosie’s hand bridge.

“Aim for the ball you want to hit,” she said.

Rosie looked where the cue was pointing and saw it was a red ball.

“I see it.” Rosie said.

Natalie stood next to her, leaned in slightly, her voice as cool as ever.

“Relax your arm, don’t force it. Use your upper arm to swing your lower arm, like a pendulum,” Natalie instructed.

Natalie gently took Rosie’s forearm and led her through a practice swing.

“Crack!”

The cue ball rolled forward and struck the red ball.

The red ball shook but didn’t go in.

Rosie looked a little down.

“Didn’t make it…” Rosie muttered.

Natalie straightened up.

“That’s totally normal for your first shot.” she said.

Blondie chimed in, “Yeah, for real! My first time. I couldn’t even touch the ball!”

Rosie looked skeptical. “Seriously?”

Blondie put on his most sincere face. “Seriously! If I’m lying, just call me a dog!”

Rosie couldn’t help but laugh at his antics, and her nerves started to fade away.

She took a deep breath, picked up the cue again, and gave it another shot on her own.

Missed again.

But this time, instead of feeling down, she was actually a little excited.

“One more time!” Rosie said, her eyes shining.

Natalie sat off to the side, while Blondie started practicing with Rosie.

After a while, things suddenly got lively around them.

“Hey, who’s that?

“Are they live streaming? An influencer?”

“Isn’t that ‘Pool Bro Howard‘? The billiards streamer with over five million followers?

Natalie looked up at the commotion and saw a crowd of people surrounding a flashy young guy as he

walked in.

He was wearing a baseball cap, holding a selfie stick, and the screen on his phone was lit up with a barrage of scrolling comments.

Two crew members followed him, one carrying a ring light and the other a reflector. It was quite the setup.

“Yo, fam! Check it out. Cloudtop Pool Club! Pretty high–end, huh? Let me show you the real pool sharks

here today!” the guy said, animatedly talking to his phone.

He kept chatting to the camera, scoping out everyone as he made his entrance.

The chat was blowing up:

“Go. Howard!”

“Yo, guys! Check it out! This cutie is stunning! Let’s interview her!” he exclaimed.

Natalie looked up, catching the phone camera aimed right at her.

No one noticed when Blondie had gotten to his feet, but now his face was cold as ice.

“Didn’t you fucking hear what she said?” Blondie snapped.

Howard flinched at Blondie’s icy vibe, but he kept his attitude and shot back.

“Who are you, man? I’m livestreaming. Keep your hands off my stuff!” Howard retorted.

Blondie snorted, then with a quick yank, he snatched the phone right off the selfie stick.

The stream instantly went dark.

The stream chat blew up one last time:

“What?”

Holy shit!”

“Howard just got his phone snatched!”

“Fight! Fight!”

Howard’s face darkened, and he reached out, trying to snatch his phone back.

“What the hell are you doing? Give me my phone back!” he shouted.

Blondie hid the phone behind his back, towering over Howard.

“Didn’t I tell you to stop filming? You wouldn’t listen, so I had to shut it down for you,” Blondie said, his voice icy.

Blondie’s tone was chilled to the bone, nothing like his usual carefree attitude.

Howard was momentarily intimidated by Blondie’s icy vibe, but when he saw the crowd gathering, he remembered he was a big–time influencer with over five million followers. ‘No way I’m letting myself look bad in front of all these people,‘ he thought.

“Do you even know who I am? I’ve got over five million followers! I’m giving her a shot at the spotlight

here. She’s got a golden ticket right in front of her, and she won’t even grab it?” Howard snapped.

Still talking, Howard tried to grab his phone back.

Blondie didn’t move at all. He just held the phone up out of reach.

Howard stretched up on his tiptoes, but he couldn’t even touch it. His face flushed with anger.

“You’re snatching my stuff! That’s illegal! There are 150,000 people watching. You’re breaking the law!” Howard shouted.

Blondie scoffed, “Illegal? You just filmed her without even asking, violated her right to her image. Isn’t that breaking the law too?

“So what, you feel proud having 150,000 people watch you do something illegal?”
