*Ana's pnt of view*
After Jaxon awoke from a deep sleep, he sent the bald eagle to get rid of Stewart quietly, but at my plea, he changed his mind and said to just kick him out and make sure he stays away.
Afterwards things remained uneventful.
Jaxon and I didn't speak of that night, and though I still had nightmares, I tried to suppress them.
"Jaxon, Jaxon wake up." I said tapping his arm, as he stirred awake.
"What?" He said, his voice deep and laced with sleep, as he rubbed his eyes, and looked up at me.
"You have to eat to get better and keep your strength up." I said trying to keep my voice soft, as he blinked the sleep from his eyes.
"I don't want to. Let me sleep." He said turning his head away from me as he closed his eyes.
"Stop being such a baby." I nudged him with my hand.
"Princess I'm anything but a baby." He says looking up at me again, as the sheet laid under his armpits, giving me a tease of his bare chest.
"Look you have to eat." I said clearing my head.
"You can't make me." Was his declaration.
"I could try." I said, knowing that it was a lie.
"We both know even injured you can't use force on me in your favor." He said almost arrogantly with a smirk.
"I'm not sure you're in any position to argue with me right now." I stated crossing my arms while raising an eyebrow.
"And yet I am." He replied shrugging.
"Fine. Guess I'll just call Sonya and she'll make you eat." I threatened.
"Good luck with that." He said, and I already knew that my idea was worthless.
I looked away and sighed, getting frustrated.
"Jaxon-"
"Kiss me." He said cutting me off.
"What?" I said, gulping some air.
"One kiss and I'll eat." He bargained.
"You can't be serious." Was the first thing to slip from my lips.
Jaxon chuckled and shook his head, then he looked me dead in the eyes and said "Princess when are you going to get it in your head that when it comes to you I'm always serious. One kiss is all I ask."
"You pompous self-absorbed-"
"Ana." He said in a warning tone.
"No." I said, glaring at him.
"Okay, then please leave me to starve in peace." He stated closing his eyes.
"Oh that is so not fair." I said while shaking my head.
Silence. He did not reply, instead he just closed his eyes and kept them closed.
"Ugh fine! Fine!" I said defeated. He had to eat. He lost a lot of blood, and unless he ate what was good for him, he wouldn't recuperate well.
I sat next to him as he opened his eyes and stared at me attentively.
His blue orbs pierced my face with an intense gaze, causing heat to rise to my cheeks.
I placed my hands shyly on his arms as I leaned and closed my eyes, then I placed my lips softly against his.
At first none of us moved, but then he responded by moving his lips softly against mine, and I found myself releasing a soft sigh as our lips began to dance against one another. His tongue grazed my bottom lip, but I refused to respond, so that's when I felt his hand come up to my cheek and caressed down to my neck, shoulder then to my side, I gasped at the ticklish sensation, and he took the chance to slip his tongue into my mouth.
It wasn't invasive, nor was it dramatic. It was soft, romantic even.
I felt my face flush as his hand moved back to my face, so I pulled back and quickly stood off the bed, with an "Okay. You got your kiss, time to eat."
He chuckled at my nervous reaction as he said in a gruff voice "your wish is my command princess."
Afterwards, he ate without giving me a hard time.
"What happened? You look like you've seen a ghost." He stated curiously.
"Nothing." I said, my cheeks blushing. He sent me a quizzical look but left it at that.
I placed the tray next to him, as he sat up, he took a first strawberry, dipped it in chocolate and ate it.
He went for a second one and asked if I would like one.
"Oh no, you go ahead and eat." I said looking away shyly, things just became very intimate.
"Come on, for once I'm being nice, don't turn me down like that."
"Okay." I caved, as I grabbed one, and dipped it in whipped cream.
The strawberry was juicy and sweet causing me to close my eyes and smile, but I instantly became conscious of his eyes studying me.
We kept eating in silence until I noticed "Hey how come you always get the chocolate covered ones?"
"You want a chocolate strawberry?" He asked, his voice deep, teasing even, but I brushed it off.
"Yes." I said, my mouth already watering.
"Okay" replied Jaxon, as he grabbed a strawberry, dipped it in chocolate, then brought it up, and placed it to my lips.
I sent him a look but nevertheless I tried to take a bite, but Jaxon moved his hand back, causing me to bite the air.
I tried again and he did the same thing.
I chuckled as Jaxon continuously duped me, but it was still kind of funny, how I always fell for it, no matter how I tried to get the berry. I was so focused on getting the strawberry, that I hadn't realized that Jaxon managed to get my lips close to his.
I looked into his eyes as he whispered, "open up."
Usually, I would've pulled away and become shy, but instead I found myself opening my lips slightly, as he placed part of the strawberry in my mouth, then he bit into the other end, and the strawberry became the sweet victim of a soft kiss.
Jaxon placed his hand on my cheek, as he moved up to deepen the kiss.
Two quick knocks from the door weren’t warning enough, and the next thing we heard, while our lips were still locked together was "Jaxon, I wanted to- oh my! Never mind."
