If they wanted money, he gave them money. If they wanted designer bags, he bought them bags.
There wasn't a single wish he couldn't fulfill.
Liam twitched his lips, not bothering to waste his breath arguing. The youngest Mercer son was notorious in Northside for drifting through a sea of women without ever letting one tie him down.
As the four of them chatted, a gentle female voice suddenly drifted over from nearby. "I didn't expect to see you all here."
Turning around, they saw it was Grace Gifford.
She wore flawless makeup and a stunning red gown, looking radiant.
"Well, well." Sloan raised an eyebrow at her. "You seem to be in a fantastic mood, Miss Gifford. Did your dad send you here to act as a high-class escort?"
"...Sloan, you're always making jokes."
Grace was very familiar with all of them, though ever since she severed her connection with Silas, they had seemingly drifted apart.
She glanced at Silas, gave Vivian a fleeting look, and finally turned her attention to Liam. "Liam, I didn't bring a date either. How about we pair up for the night?"
"Why are you asking him instead of me?"
Sloan fired up again, stepping closer to Grace. "Am I not handsome enough?"
It wasn't that he wasn't handsome; it was just that his playboy reputation was so infamous that associating with him never did a woman's reputation any favors.
Grace was just trying to figure out a polite way to decline when the sharp clacking of heels approached rapidly. Scarlett Sinclair marched right up, possessively wrapped her arm around Liam, and flashed a deeply fake smile. "Sorry, Miss Gifford, but Liam is already booked for the night."
"..."
What a spectacular scene.
Vivian raised an eyebrow, thoroughly entertained, though not entirely surprised. They all hung out in the same circles precisely because they came from identical backgrounds.
The invitations hadn't specified bringing a date, so the vast majority of the guests had arrived solo. That was exactly why Vivian and Silas had drawn so much attention walking in together.
