The True Alpha of Lupine (Seraphina and Ronan) novel Chapter 184

RONAN

“Are you sure nothing unusual happened in the Moonstone chamber between Alpha Ryker and you causing all of you to be cursed?” Alpha Gideon repeated the question.

He looked confident about the fight between Ryker and I in the Moonstone chamber. It was clear that someone had slipped up and spilled something, “Nothing happened.”

He read my face for a moment longer before slowly leaning back in his seat, “Alpha Ronan, it is still a mystery who opened the white feather door for you. And now you are denying the fight with Alpha Ryker. Since there is no proof, this matter might end up buried because I believe Alpha Ryker will have the same answer that nothing happened. Just let me ask you something…” he leaned forward on his desk and looked deep into my eyes, “The Council has gotten the news of the Moonstone cursing the Alphas. A total of seven Alphas died in the Ghost Forest and now all the pack in the kingdom know what happened at the Academy. The council has been cornered by those fathers who lost their sons. Now if they don’t find the culprit, everyone, all twenty two Alphas racing for the supreme Alpha throne will be dragged into this. So if you tell the person who you two were fighting over, you and Alpha Ryker will get out of this mess smoothly. I know you fought with Alpha Ryker because of someone else. Who was it? Give the name and…”

“I don’t know what you are talking about, Alpha Gideon,” I calmly met his gaze, “Like I said, nothing happened in the Moonstone chamber. If the Council is so worked up over some deaths then they must show the proof that the curse was cast because of an act that took place in the Moonstone chamber. They have to bring a witness at the very least. Only after that will I take this matter seriously.”

There were no cameras in the Moonstone chamber and the person who spilled the fight between Ryker and I would never dare to come forward and testify. Alpha Gideon knew that too.

He leaned back in his chair with a small smile and stated, “Indeed you have the blood of your father Alpha Odric,” saying that he picked up the paper from his desk, “You may…”

He paused when he got a mind–link. A couple of moments later he got up, placing that paper in a file quickly. “You may leave, Alpha Ronan.”

I nodded, getting up as he hurriedly exited the office. As soon as the door was closed behind me, I immediately rushed to check the page that he put in the file. The one that I had my eye on since I entered.

What came in front of my eyes was a list of the pack bonds between everyone. I skipped everyone’s names going straight to Ryker.

“Why the fuck is he her Alpha?” Verkas growled in my mind.

My mind went blank when I saw his bond to Seraphina. It stated Alpha too. Of course, they did not know she was a woman. But Bond knew. It meant, Seraphina’s bond with Ryker must be not Alpha but…Luna.

I clenched the paper close to tear it apart. What was the meaning of this? Was I reading too much into it? It was suppose to be just a trial and bond created by the Acadmey then why the fuck did it bothered me so much?

The sound of footsteps in the corridor caught my ears. I put the paper back in the file and exited the room only to encounter healer Aran entering Alpha Gideon’s office.

“Alpha Ronan, the interrogation is over? Did I miss the fun?”

“No, you will get to be a part of all the fun since Ryker’s interrogation is coming soon,” I stated, walking past him.

He chuckled, “By the way, how did your rut heal overnight?”

I stopped and slowly met his gaze, “Goddess bless me, maybe,” I turned to face him and asked, “Healer Aran,

Chapter 184 The Interrogation

can you tell me if the bond in the trial was real or made by the instructors?”

“Hmmm…” he rubbed his chin, “They were made by instructors but you know the Moonstone cursed you all and the entire trial was messed up for real. So it is hard to tell if the bond was fake or not.”

Verkas growled inside me, getting many meanings at what he said.

Chapter 184 1

It took me an hour to slowly eat my dinner, but Ronan was still not back. Ryker either. But the strange thing that I noticed was, everyone else was in the hall except Finn. I had not seen him there even during interrogation. His absence unsettled me.
