The True Heiress: Legend Mode novel Chapter 359

Dropping that single line, she walked away.

The massive crowd of boys trailed loyally behind her.

The dean wasn't about to lower herself to argue with a college student, so she rationally chose to take it up with Sebastian instead. "Professor Corrington?"

He had watched the entire exchange. Since he was sitting right there, the dean hadn't actually been able to punish Juno. He stood up, flashed a polite, entirely fake smile that didn't reach his eyes, and said, "There's nothing I can do about that. She's used to doing whatever she wants."

The dean nearly choked on her anger as she watched Sebastian walk out.

Elsewhere, a university professor began his lecture, only to realize that half the classroom was completely empty.

He took off his glasses and squinted. "Where is everyone? This is my first lecture of the semester, and this many people are cutting class?!"

Just as he said it, a boy knocked on the door. "Sorry, Professor. We were held up by a meeting with the dean."

Behind him stood a dense crowd of guys, all holding their laptops, waiting to come in.

The professor put his glasses back on. "The dean only informed me about Juno Mercer."

The boy standing in the doorway smiled brightly, positively glowing. "Juno is our class president, and whatever concerns the president concerns us."

Which was why they were all late together.

The professor was momentarily stumped by the logic but didn't want to waste any more of the other students' time arguing. He waved them in. "Hurry up and sit down. Stop holding up the class."

The boy grinned, and the massive group filed in, taking their seats before the professor resumed the lecture.

The students in the hospital were fine; none of their injuries were anywhere near as bad as Paxton's.

The members of the Student Conduct Board who had participated in the brawl had all paid out compensation.

The Class Three guys were entirely unfazed, casually chatting in the classroom.

"I'm telling you, it was the best. While I was lying in the hospital bed, I already planned out my next vacation. I can't believe they only had to pay me ten grand."

"That's way too low. If I'd known, I would've let him hit me with a chair again."

Their voices were relaxed and excited. Juno glanced back at the boy who spoke.

He immediately clamped his mouth shut.

Ten grand was fine.

Ten grand was great, actually.

Ever since that incident, any lingering awkwardness between the boys and Juno vanished, and they actively cooperated with everything she asked of them.
