Chapter 405 My Designated Spot
Justin was terrified his spoiled cousin would run her mouth and piss Sebastian off, sobe grabbed Audrey by the arm test
“What are you doing here? There’s a limit?” Justin kept his voice low, heavy with, warning: “This To the first time Sebasti Riley to meet everyone. Don’t just stand there looking like you’re about to start something. What kind of look is that?
Audrey had her arm in his grip, but she didn’t throw a fit the way she usually did. She just pressed her lips together, and something self mocking flickered across her face.
She yanked her arm free and smoothed down her dress with an annoyed huff. Her voice stayed crisp, but that sharp edge she’d walked in with was gone.
“Okay, why is everyone staring? You think I’m here to rob the place?”

Audrey stepped to the side and crossed her arms. Her gaze landed on Sebastian and Riley’s interlaced hands for maybe two seconds before she looked away fast.
That old bitter sting was still there, sure. But after seeing the near–obsessive heat in Sebastian’s eyes when he looked at Riley. whatever shallow fixation she’d been holding onto just crumbled–quietly, and weirdly fast.
She’d been in the Nexopolis socialite scene long enough. She’d seen Sebastian cold. She’d seen him brutal. But she’d never once seen him like this–with that doting warmth reaching all the way to the corners of his eyes.
Her little crush didn’t stand a chance of squeezing into that. Not even close.
“Justin, you’re seriously underestimating me.” Audrey let out a sharp huff, then spun around and jabbed her finger straight at Colin in the corner of the couch. “The only reason I tracked you all down is because of this cockroach!”
Colin had a chunk of melon speared on his fork and nearly choked on it.
He straightened up. “Me? Cockroach? Audrey, you’re pointing that attitude at the wrong guy. I haven’t said a single word to you tonight!”
“You’ve got some nerve!” Audrey marched up to him on her stilettos, fury rolling off her. “Tell me something. That tacky neon- purple clown car of yours. Where’d you park it?”
Colin blinked and shot back, dead serious. “Dead center of the lot. It’s wide open‘ there. Easy to drift into the spot. What, you jealous of my paint job?”
“Jealous, my ass!” Audrey stomped her foot. “You parked in my spot! My designated spot! I came here to grab a few vintage bottles from the cellar for my dad. I got down to the garage, and there’s your tasteless purple piece of scrap metal sprawled across my space. I checked the guest registry, saw your name, and that’s the only reason I came up here!”
The guys in the room traded glances.
Nolan and Wesley looked at each other and cracked up under their breath. All that tension hanging in the air pretty much evaporated.
Colin did not take that well. He slammed his fork down on the plate and stood up to fire back. “What the hell are you talking about? There’s nothing on that spot. No sign, no reserved parking plate, nothing. So what makes it yours? You own every parking lot in Nexopolis now?”

Audrey let out a sharp laugh, more disbelief than tumor. She lifted her chin and sneered, “Colin, did you drink so much you let your brain at the bottom of the plass? Open your damn eyes and read the sign. What’s this place called? Brooks Private Vineyard The vineyard belongs to the Brooks family! I’m the Brooks family’s only daughter. Having a designated spot in my own family? parking garage–is that really so hard to grasp?”
Colin got stuck on that one. But his mouth was legendary around Nexopolis for a reason.
He gave Audrey a disgusted once–over and snorted, “Audrey, are you twelve? I’m a respected VIP of the Brooks family, thank you very much. And according to your whole service philosophy, you should be treating me with respect. Instead, you’re standing here screaming at me. Is this how the Brooks family treats its guests?”
“I have hospitality for other people. For you, I’ve got bug spray.” Audrey didn’t back downt an inch. She stepped closer. “Right now. Go move your car.”
“I’m not moving it! I’ve been drinking. How am I supposed to drive? You’re trying to set me up for a Dur. That’s cold!” Colin flopped back onto the couch and went full brat. “Go ahead. Have my car towed. See if I care.”
