Max left the Ross household. Felicia went to the bathroom, filled a basin with warm water, and carried it back to the bed. She wrung out a towel and gently wiped Anne down before changing her into her pajamas. During the process, Anne woke up groggily, mumbled Mommy, and promptly fell back asleep. Felicia tucked the small blanket around her, leaned over, and pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead.

That evening, Savannah organized a camping trip in their group chat for the following day. The weather was supposed to be nice, and everyone was currently in the Capital.

Heather was definitely in.

Jeremy replied that he could make it.

Heather tagged Greg: Greg, what about you?

Greg: If you're going, of course I'm going.

Savannah: Alright, you two, stop flaunting your affection here. Don't think I don't know you guys are officially together now.

Heather sent a shy sticker.

Greg sent a pat-on-the-head sticker.

Savannah: Where is the admin? Come ban these two for torturing us single folks. @Jeremy, aren't you going to manage them?

Jeremy: They're grown up. They're beyond my control.

Anthony replied to Savannah: Your heart is so fragile.

Savannah: You still have time to play on your phone? Careful your little girlfriend doesn't throw a tantrum.

Heather: Savannah, why don't you invite your Darin into the group?

Savannah immediately tagged Darin.

Heather was surprised. She hadn't noticed when Savannah had pulled him into the chat.

Heather: Let's give Mr. Foxhall a warm welcome.

Savannah: Better not, his skin is too thin.

Heather sent a snickering sticker.

Anthony: Be careful you don't scare the man away with your chasing. Want to take me as your master? Free lessons.

Darin: I'll go with Felicia tomorrow.

Savannah knew he had been lurking. You really do have thin skin. No one is going to laugh at you.

Darin: I just saw the messages.

Savannah couldn't be bothered to call out his lie. Are you off work?

Darin: Yes.

Looking at his replies, Savannah really didn't know what to say. Forget it, his personality wasn't something she could rush. She finally replied: Get some rest early tonight.

Darin: I know.

The next morning.

Anne had gone to sleep early the night before, so she woke up early. Felicia helped her wash up and get dressed before they headed downstairs.

Darin was just coming out of the home gym. His black T-shirt was completely soaked through with sweat. Tall, long-legged, with well-proportioned muscles and a strong frame, Felicia could easily imagine why Savannah was so infatuated with him. He wasn't nearly as reserved staying here as he had been initially. In fact, he was becoming quite comfortable. It was hard to see where his thin skin was.
