Just then, someone called out behind her. “Felicia.”

She turned and saw Luke heading her way, his stride confident. Five years had passed, and the boyish charm he once wore had been replaced with a calm, steady maturity.

Felicia offered him a smile. The restaurant lights caught in her eyes, making them glow with warmth.

In these five years, Luke visited whenever he could. They didn’t see each other often since both were busy, but they kept in touch with frequent calls. Their last meeting had been more than half a year ago, when he’d taken time off to fly to the US just to celebrate her birthday.

Now, seeing her again, Luke couldn’t help but think she looked even more beautiful than before.

“I almost didn’t recognize you,” he teased.

Felicia laughed. “You say that every single time. Do you think I magically change my face or something?”

Luke grinned, shaking his head.

They walked together toward the private dining room. Even before they reached the door, Felicia could already hear Savannah’s unmistakable voice.

Felicia stepped inside after knocking lightly.

Everyone turned to see who had arrived.

Savannah’s eyes widened in surprise. She got up, giving Felicia a quick once-over. “Excuse me, gorgeous, may I have your name?”

Felicia burst out laughing. “I’m Savannah.”

Savannah put a hand to her chest in mock awe. “I’ve heard all about the legendary beauty Savannah. Seeing you now, I feel like the rumors are definitely true.”

Anthony rolled his eyes. “Wow, you really know how to hype yourself up.”

Savannah shot him a look. “If I don’t hype myself up, who will? You?”

Anthony smirked. “Is that how you talk to your boss? Careful, I might cut your pay.”

It was close to six when Greg finally arrived.

With everyone there, the food started coming out. Conversation drifted from work to life and back again.

“Felicia, I heard you’re hosting the financial summit next week,” Savannah said, turning to her.

The international summit was coming up in the Capital, with all the industry giants from around the world flying in. Hosting something like that, in front of so many big names, wasn’t something just anyone could pull off. Even Savannah admitted she wasn’t qualified.

Felicia nodded. This would be her first big public appearance since returning home.

Savannah said, “That means Max will definitely show up.”

Felicia’s hand paused for a moment, but her voice stayed even. “It’s fine. He’s just another guest to me now. I’ll treat him the same as anyone else.”

They were still married on paper, but that meant nothing. Their relationship was already over, and there was nothing left between them.
