The Ugly Wife’s Stunning Comeback (Felicia and Max) novel Chapter 1137

In the living room, Jeremy was sitting on the sofa, watching television. Felicia and Ivy walked over.

"Jeremy," Felicia called out.

He turned his gaze to the two women.

"Come taste the cake Ivy made," Felicia offered warmly.

Ivy placed the cake on the coffee table. Jeremy glanced at it and noted, "It looks delicious."

Ivy picked up a knife, cut a slice, and handed it to him. "Please, give it a try, Mr. Milman."

Jeremy reached out and took it. "Thank you."

Ivy then sliced a piece for Felicia, who also thanked her. Watching Jeremy take a spoonful, Ivy could not help but ask, "How does it taste, Mr. Milman?"

"The sweetness is just right," Jeremy replied. "I did not know you possessed such culinary skills, Miss Manning."

Ivy offered a modest smile. "When I have free time, I like to bake pastries at home to pass the time."

Jeremy nodded and took another spoonful, quickly finishing the slice. From the corner of her eye, Ivy watched him clear his plate, and a small, irrepressible smile graced her lips. "Would you like some more, Mr. Milman?" she asked.

Jeremy replied in his usual gentle tone, "Thank you, but I think I will pass for now. I cannot eat too many sweets."

Jeremy looked at her, his dark eyes mysterious and harboring emotions that were impossible to read. Perhaps due to her amnesia, Felicia did not sense the subtle undercurrents in his gaze. "She is a gentle, well-mannered lady from a good family," he said evenly.

Felicia leaned sideways, resting her elbow on the sofa back and propping her head up with her hand, looking at Jeremy with teasing interest. "It seems you have a pretty good impression of her too."

Jeremy simply smiled.

"Her brother locked us up here, so I doubt he is a good person," Felicia mused. "But Ivy seems like a genuinely good girl. She feels different from the usual wealthy heiresses. I get the feeling she has not even had a boyfriend before."

Meanwhile, inside the kitchen, Ivy leaned against the marble counter, letting her racing heartbeat gradually settle. She had acted so flustered just now, and Jeremy had definitely noticed. The thought made her want to find a hole to crawl into, or better yet, flee the estate entirely.
