Felicia stared him down. “Luke, are you trying to get on my nerves?”

Luke only grinned wider. “Why so serious? Nobody’s gonna laugh at you. I could even give you some lessons for free.”

Felicia lifted her foot to stomp on his, but he dodged easily. “Who says I want you to teach me?”

She tried again, determined to make contact, but Luke slipped away, teasing, “You’ll never get me.”

Luke took off running.

“Luke, get back here!”

Greg watched the two of them chase each other around, shaking his head with a helpless smile.

By the time they reached the villa’s entrance, Luke threw his hands in the air like a champion. “I win!”

Felicia finally caught up, panting, and kicked him lightly. “Win what? Nobody was competing with you.”

Luke yelped, acting hurt.

Ava was in the garden watering the flowers. When she saw them messing around, she came over. “Alright, both of you, go get cleaned up. Breakfast is ready.”

Luke perked up. “Did you make those pancakes I love?”

Ava’s smile was nothing but warm. “Of course I did.”

Felicia chimed in, “Mom, next time you must charge him for his meals.”

Luke shot her a look. “What, you don’t want the big boss helping you make money anymore?”

Felicia pinched his arm and headed inside.

Heather had picked a spot at the city center mall.

Felicia had just stepped out of the car when she heard a tiny voice call out, “Felicia!”

A little girl in a cute dress came running up to her. Felicia hurried over and scooped Yara into her arms. “Careful, sweetheart.”

Heather walked over, with Jeremy following behind pushing a stroller.

“She’s been talking about meetingyou all morning,” Heather said, shaking her head with a smile.

Felicia kissed Yara on the cheek. “I missed you too, Yara.”

Yara had just turned five in March, making her two months younger than Anne.

Jeremy spotted Luke, and the two guys exchanged nods and smiles.
