Greg and Luke’s faces shifted at the same time, worry flickering across their features.
Luke’s voice was tight. “Darin’s got some serious ambition.”
Felicia nodded. “He’s after Greenway’s tech. He wants to swallow up Greenway and fold it into Sunlight Tech.”
“Greg, you really need to talk to Brock again.”
Greg pulled out his phone and tried calling Brock, but the call was cut off right away.
He frowned. “I’ll go to his place and talk to him in person.”
Felicia encouraged him. “Good idea. It’s the weekend, so you and Brock have to get this sorted out.”
Brock might have acted rashly, but he’d helped Greg build the company from nothing. That counted for something.
“I know,” Greg said quietly.
Luke stepped forward. “I’ll go with you.”
Greg nodded in agreement.
Heather sat nearby, her worry obvious. She hated how useless she felt.
Greg caught her expression as he walked past and offered a gentle reassurance. “Don’t worry. We’ll figure it out.”
Heather looked up at him and gave a small nod, her eyes earnest. “If you need any investment, I can help. Seriously. I don’t have much besides too much money these days.”
Greg couldn’t help but smile.
He turned to Felicia. “Let Mom know for me, okay?”
“Will do. You two be careful.”
Greg and Luke left together. Felicia watched them go, silently hoping things could be fixed. At least they’d found out before it was too late.
Later that afternoon, Felicia and Heather took the kids out shopping. Staying home would only make them spiral. Savannah joined them, too.
Anne and Yara were perched on a sofa, letting the store staff try necklaces on them. When they heard the adults, Anne hopped down and dashed over, clinging to Felicia’s leg. She looked up, eyes wide. “I want to stick close to Evelynn too!”
Yara ran after her, grabbing Felicia’s other leg. “Me too!”
The whole group burst out laughing.
Felicia stroked their hair, her voice warm. “Okay, okay, now’s not the time for that.”
At that moment, someone at the door called out respectfully, “Mrs. Hawthorne, Mrs. Curtis, Miss Curtis…”
Everyone looked toward the entrance.
The second Felicia saw who walked in, her smile faded away.
Savannah and Heather didn’t look any happier.
Tatiana’s face turned cold when she spotted Felicia with Anne. Yvonne’s gaze lingered on Felicia, her expression complicated and unreadable.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Ugly Wife’s Stunning Comeback (Felicia and Max)
Nothing today...
The story starting to feel dragged out. Nothing much is happening anymore and Felicia and Max are getting kinda boring.. it’s just the same cycle over and over again...
I used to like this story but now it draaaaags :( Now it seems like all characters are problematic and toxic (yes, ALL characters). Wish the author will give some warmth/emotion in this story. 700+ chapters and still no highlight, no exciting part, just pure coldness and expressionlessness lol...
Max and felicia really need to figure things out. Either humble max down and get him to respect his wife. Or let felicia be a free woman. Max is so ignorant and egomaniac...
I've reached chapter 104 with a broken heart huhuuhu. This is so heavy, so sad. I know the chapters onwards will be more lighter. Can't wait for the pay back time....
When will this novel get an end It's dragging so much. Just kill max asap. How much should felicia bare. Give her freedom from that max and anne. Anne is so annoying child. I know she wants to patch up her mother and father. But sometimes it's really boring.please finish the novel soon. Everyday we have to check for the chapter updates. For God sake finish it off. How many more chapters are there . You could have make the novel short and sweet. I wish if it was in theatre we could have finish it soon....
I am waiting for the update, thank you uploader we reader enjoying the story...
Finally! The robot Max is turning into a human....
The longer it takes to update chapters, the faster I lose my interest. Time to find another novel to indulge to, I guess....
Please 🙏 upload more chapters...
