The Ugly Wife’s Stunning Comeback (Felicia and Max) novel Chapter 527

Jeremy and Savannah were both heading home to Northwick for the holidays.

At three in the afternoon, Felicia drove them to the airport.

Once they got there, she ran right into the last people she wanted to see.

Andrea clung to Darin, tears shining in her eyes as she looked up at him. “Are you really not coming with us?” Her voice was shaky.

Darin placed a reassuring hand on her head. “I still have things to take care of here.”

“But…” Andrea started to beg again, but then she caught sight of the three people standing a short distance away. Her gaze turned icy in an instant.

Darin glanced over to see who she was staring at.

“Felicia, we’re good here. We’ll catch up after the holidays,” Jeremy said.

Felicia nodded. “You and Savannah take care, okay?”

Savannah pulled Felicia into a quick hug.

After their goodbyes, Felicia watched them walk away, then turned to head back. As she passed Darin, Jeremy just gave him a nod, then kept going with Savannah.

Yvonne stood still, her eyes following Darin’s retreating figure. After a moment, she turned to Andrea. “Come on, Andrea, let’s go.”

Andrea hung back, dragging her feet as she left with her mom. “I don’t want Felicia to get close to Darin. He should only have one sister, and that’s me,” she muttered miserably.

Ever since Max started ignoring her because of Felicia, everything had gone downhill. Now she had to deal with Felicia being her brother’s real sister? It felt so unfair. Felicia had no right to take her place.

Yvonne wiped the tears off Andrea’s cheeks with a tissue. “Your brother’s been handling so much for you lately. Maybe try being nicer to him for a change, instead of throwing fits like before.”

Andrea just felt even more wronged. Her brother used to spoil her no matter what. Why did Felicia get to take everything away?

Snapping back to reality, she unbuckled her seatbelt, pushed open the door, and got out.

“Evelynn, are you okay?”

Felicia was fine, just shaken, but she didn’t appreciate his concern. Her voice stayed cool and distant. “Mr. Foxhall, we’re not close. You don’t have to pretend you care.”

Darin could feel her brush-off, but he couldn’t deny the worry that had hit him when he saw her crash. Now, seeing her safe, he finally relaxed.

By then, the woman and her child had already disappeared.

The police showed up soon after and started their investigation, while Felicia called her insurance company.

“Do you need a ride, Evelynn? Where are you headed?” Darin asked, lingering nearby.

Felicia barely glanced at him, refusing to say a word. She just ignored him completely.
