No wonder Max moved on so fast.
Compared to Andrea, she was stunning. Not just beautiful, but elegant, too. Andrea was the kind of girl you kept on a pedestal. Evelynn, though, had both looks and real talent. She was capable, not just pretty.
Anne tugged Felicia over to help her with a puzzle.
Lunchtime came around. The kitchen was full of incredible smells. All the ingredients had just arrived the day before, flown in from all over the world. The chef was top-tier, and it showed.
Everyone piled their plates with whatever caught their eye, then found seats around the big dining table.
Max grabbed a plate of food for Anne, then got Felicia a glass of white wine. “You should try this. It's a special Grand Cru from Domaine Leroy.”
Felicia lifted the glass, breathing in the sweet, elegant scent. She took a small sip. The wine was rich and smooth, better than anything she’d tasted before. It was easy to believe it was worth a small fortune.
“How do you like it?” Max asked.
Felicia nodded. “It’s good.”
“If you like it, I’ll have a few bottles sent over tomorrow.”
She glanced at him, but didn’t say anything else.
Whenever they were together, Max was so attentive, almost gentle. It was obvious, even to the others.
Carol exchanged glances with the group, shock all over her face. None of them had guessed Evelynn and Max were together. No wonder Evelynn acted so confident, even arrogant sometimes. Kate seemed to know her, too.
Landing a guy like Max took some serious skill.
Carol couldn’t stop staring at Felicia, her eyes practically burning with jealousy.
“Don’t make it so obvious,” Dannie murmured.
Carol tore her gaze away, turning to Dannie. “I never heard about Max having another girl. Do you know when they got together?”

I've reached chapter 104 with a broken heart huhuuhu. This is so heavy, so sad. I know the chapters onwards will be more lighter. Can't wait for the pay back time....
When will this novel get an end It's dragging so much. Just kill max asap. How much should felicia bare. Give her freedom from that max and anne. Anne is so annoying child. I know she wants to patch up her mother and father. But sometimes it's really boring.please finish the novel soon. Everyday we have to check for the chapter updates. For God sake finish it off. How many more chapters are there . You could have make the novel short and sweet. I wish if it was in theatre we could have finish it soon....
