“I heard it from Dannie today,” Felicia said.
“Don’t worry about it,” Jeremy replied. “I’ll handle things on my end.”
Felicia murmured her agreement and didn’t press for more details.
They exchanged a few more words before hanging up.
Savannah scoffed. “Max is being awfully generous these days. What’s next? Are you going to ask for a stake in BlueMarble Investments? I bet he’d give you that, too.”
Felicia stared out the window. Max was the kind of man who would do anything to get what he wanted, and he showed no mercy for the things he despised. He never hid his intentions or regretted his actions. He was a villain, pure and simple, and he made no apologies for it.
By the next day, the news that BlueMarble Investments had voluntarily relinquished its investment share in Heathview was trending on financial news sites.
The development sent ripples through the industry, sparking intense speculation.
BlueMarble Investments and Roen Capital had been fierce rivals for years. Just last year, Max had cost Jeremy’s company billions, only to turn around and hand over the TC Project partnership at the end of the year.
Now he was giving up shares in Heathview. It was completely out of character. Why would he willingly hand money to a competitor?
Could it be that Jeremy had some kind of leverage over Max?
Theories flew wildly within their social circle.
That evening, Felicia was hosting her show when a guest brought up the story. She navigated the topic with a polished, officially scripted response.
But after the show, a photograph was posted on a popular financial forum.
...
The post quickly went viral.
The comments were overwhelmingly focused on Felicia’s supposed social climbing, with the narrative quickly turning against her. People claimed she wasn’t the editor-in-chief of a financial magazine and an investment director at Roen Capital because of her talent, but because she had used her looks to get powerful men to prop her up. Any lone voice of reason was instantly drowned in a tidal wave of online vitriol.
Soon, gossip sites and tabloids began to pick up the story, eager to capitalize on the public’s endless fascination with the scandals of the rich and famous.
They embellished the details, publishing articles with sensational, unverified headlines.
What had started as insider gossip quickly broke into the mainstream, capturing widespread public attention.

The readers' comments on the novel: The Ugly Wife’s Stunning Comeback (Felicia and Max)
Nothing today...
The story starting to feel dragged out. Nothing much is happening anymore and Felicia and Max are getting kinda boring.. it’s just the same cycle over and over again...
I used to like this story but now it draaaaags :( Now it seems like all characters are problematic and toxic (yes, ALL characters). Wish the author will give some warmth/emotion in this story. 700+ chapters and still no highlight, no exciting part, just pure coldness and expressionlessness lol...
Max and felicia really need to figure things out. Either humble max down and get him to respect his wife. Or let felicia be a free woman. Max is so ignorant and egomaniac...
I've reached chapter 104 with a broken heart huhuuhu. This is so heavy, so sad. I know the chapters onwards will be more lighter. Can't wait for the pay back time....
When will this novel get an end It's dragging so much. Just kill max asap. How much should felicia bare. Give her freedom from that max and anne. Anne is so annoying child. I know she wants to patch up her mother and father. But sometimes it's really boring.please finish the novel soon. Everyday we have to check for the chapter updates. For God sake finish it off. How many more chapters are there . You could have make the novel short and sweet. I wish if it was in theatre we could have finish it soon....
