The Ugly Wife’s Stunning Comeback (Felicia and Max) novel Chapter 679

Dannie couldn’t be sure if Felicia actually had any proof.

Felicia watched Dannie’s silence and said no more. She had said all she needed to.

She picked up her cup and finished the last of her coffee.

As she stood to leave, Dannie suddenly spoke. “How do you think Mr. Hawthorne will handle your situation?”

Felicia paused.

Dannie looked up at her and smiled, though there was no warmth in her eyes. “The way Mr. Hawthorne treats you now… well, becoming his woman is quite an honor. It’s something countless women would kill for.”

“You’re as presumptuous as ever,” Felicia said, her voice flat. She paused. “The coffee is on me today.”

With that, she walked away, paid the bill, and left the club.

Once in her car, just as she was about to drive off, she got a call from Heather.

“Hello, Heather.”

“Felicia, have you seen the news?”

Felicia frowned, a sudden sense of dread washing over her. “What news?”

Heather forwarded an article to her. It was a public announcement from BlueMarble Investments.

Felicia opened it. The moment she saw the content, she froze. Her hand tightened around her phone.

The announcement read: In response to recent online rumors, our company hereby issues this statement: Mr. Max Hawthorne and Ms. Evelynn Ross are legally married. Our company reserves the right to pursue legal action against any party that continues to spread false and defamatory rumors concerning Ms. Ross.

The announcement blew up, immediately trending online.

Netizens who weren't even in their circle were captivated, while the industry itself was in an uproar.

Max and Evelynn were married?

So Max’s daughter was their child?

When did they even get married?

Reporters were already gathered outside BlueMarble. The announcement had drawn more and more of them to the building, but security was keeping them at bay.

Since Felicia wasn't an employee, she had to park on the street.

She put on her sunglasses and a mask before getting out of the car.

She walked directly toward the building.

Just as she was about to enter the lobby, a reporter recognized her.

“Evelynn!”

Instantly, all the reporters swarmed her.

Security guards rushed forward to block them.

Luckily, Felicia reacted quickly enough to dash into the lobby. As much as the reporters wanted an exclusive, they didn't dare follow her inside.
