Painted Faces and Pancakes
HANNAH’S POV:
THE NEXT DAY:
We were still at the resort and watching the sunrise was one of the things I thanked myself for being awake to do.! did some work out, took care of my hygiene, replied to a few emails and went to check on the kids.
My heart skipped a beat when I got into their rooms and they weren’t there and I wasn’t hearing their tiny voices I walked around the villa and finally heard their giggles from Elijah’s room.
“Come in.” Elijah’s voice sounded from over the door and I strolled in only to see his painted face seated on the bed wearing a shirt while the kids were still in their matching night-wears, one was green and the other was yellow, just similar patterns and designs.
I was genuinely thinking of finally launching my kids line of fashion and I just pictured my babies modeling for it It was going to make cry, so I made a mental note to start designing and sketching and talk to Lucas about it.
Elijah, millionaire, CEO, intimidating man who once terrified boardrooms was sitting cross-legged on the bed wearing a white shirt that was… painted. His whole face had streaks of color like a toddler had used him as a limited-edition masterpiece canvas.
They had powder, some of their painting brush and color from yesterday’s sip and paint and I was speechless as soon as I saw the sight.
They both paused and just stared at me until we all burst out laughing all at once.
“What exactly is happening?” I asked, moving closer for inspection. I adjusted the waistband on my leggings and squinted my eyes.
I could feel their eyes on me, as humour and amusement was plastered on their faces.
Andrew wiped his nose with the back of his hand, leaving a green streak on his cheek. “Mommy, we’re decorating Daddy!”
“Elijah, you let them attack you?” I asked, trying not to laugh.
