The Villainess Needs a Hug (Ivy Windsor) novel Chapter 910

Picturing the fiery, unrestrained passion of her best friend's reunion, a heavy wave of longing suddenly washed over Ivy.

Unfortunately, she still had months of postpartum recovery before she could even think about trying anything like that again...

"What do you mean Naylor is being proactive?"

"I mean... he's already scheduled dinner with his parents so I can meet them. He even went to the hospital to see my mom and sat down to seriously discuss wedding arrangements, finances, all of it."

That had genuinely stunned Katrina.

He seemed even more impatient to tie the knot than she was.

Hearing the breathless joy in her best friend's voice, Ivy was thrilled for her.

The reason they had bonded so deeply, becoming more like sisters than friends, was because they had navigated similar rocky paths in life. Now that Ivy had everything she ever wanted—a soaring career, a loving husband, and a beautiful family—she wanted nothing more than for Katrina to find her own happily ever after.

Thankfully, luck was finally on both of their sides.

"Ivy, I just need to say thank you. Having you as my best friend has been the greatest blessing of my life. Even better than meeting Naylor!"

Still basking in the excitement of the wedding news, Ivy was caught off guard by the sudden emotional pivot.

"What brought this on? We were just laughing, and now you're making me tear up," Ivy laughed softly.

Katrina's tone turned entirely serious. "I mean every word. You've done so much for me. Whether it was stepping in when my mom got sick, or helping me through this mess with Naylor... If it weren't for you, my life would be a million times harder right now."

Katrina knew there were limited ways she could ever physically repay her friend, so she made sure to voice her absolute gratitude whenever she could.

Nothing in this world was a given.

Her own biological father and siblings had never once shown her a fraction of this care. Yet a friend with zero blood ties had repeatedly pulled her back from the edge of ruin.

Ivy frowned in amusement. "That's so weird... They got back together last weekend. Katrina just gave me the full rundown today. I can't believe Naylor kept you in the dark."

"Ha. That idiot. He's probably just too embarrassed."

"Embarrassed about what?"

"The guy made a personality out of swearing off marriage and always bragging about how he never crawls back to an ex. Now, not only is he going back to his ex, but he's willfully surrendering his freedom to tie the knot. He basically slapped himself in the face."

Ivy burst out laughing the second she put it together.

It made perfect sense. Men were all about their egos, especially someone as famously arrogant as Naylor. Having to eat his own words so spectacularly was definitely not something he wanted to broadcast.

"You should call him right now. Congratulate him and see how he squirms," Ivy suggested, her eyes gleaming with mischief.

Knowing his wife was practically dying of boredom while stuck at home recovering, Jamison was more than happy to provide some entertainment. With an adoring smile, he walked over to her side and pulled out his phone. "Alright, let's give him a call. I need to find out if I have to rent a tux for best man duties."
