He picked up a nearby cup of coffee and, while no one was looking, quietly sprinkled the powder into it. Then he carried it over to Truman and admitted his fault:

“Dad, I was wrong.

“Since this is your decision, I respect it.

“Leonard’s character really does make him more suited to lead the Sowles than I am.

“Today is your birthday. I shouldn’t have upset you. This is to you.

“I hope you live a long life, Dad.”

As long as you drink this coffee, you’ll be dead today.

Not even a miracle worker could save you.

If you’re going to favor him this much, then don’t blame me for being ruthless.

“Uncle Roy, do you really think you covered your tracks perfectly?

“The cup is still there. Just have someone test it, and the truth will come out.

“Whether it’s poisoned or not will be obvious.”

Hearing this, everyone sucked in a sharp breath, staring at Roy in shock and disbelief.
