Wesley looked at Larissa thoughtfully.
He hadn’t expected her past to be even more painful than what his investigation had uncovered.
Perhaps only she truly understood just how much she had suffered.
Judging by the timing, could that night have been the exact day she left the Turners?
If so, then their meeting really had been fate.
He knew Larissa was strong. She didn’t need anyone’s pity.
Even so, his heart still ached for her. He wondered how he could make her smile again.
The Turners‘ humiliating exit signaled that Roy had run out of options.
Truman insisted on addressing the third matter and had the lawyer read the will aloud.

“Twenty percent of Sowle Group shares will go to Ms. Larissa. Ten percent will go to Mr. Leonard. The remaining ten percent will go to Ms. Christine.
“All real estate will be divided equally among the grandchildren. The Sowle Estate will go to Mr. Leonard.”
When the reading finished, the entire hall erupted in shock.
“Oh, my God! Did I hear that right? Mr. Truman gave 20% of Sowle Group shares to Ms. Larissa, who has just returned.”
“He gave almost all his shares to Mr. Leonard and nothing to Mr. Roy. He really does favor them.”
“Mr. Truman has been shrewd his entire life. He must have his reasons.”
“Twenty percent of Sowle Group shares means at least ten billion in dividends every year. Larissa just became the wealthiest young woman in all of Eldercrown.”
“And she’s this beautiful too. Once she’s a little older, the number of suitors chasing her could circle the globe.”
“Of course. With that kind of wealth, who wouldn’t want to skip the struggle?
“She’s the Sowles‘ little princess–one of the four great families.
“Whoever marries her will never have to work another day in their life.”
“I wonder which lucky bastard will end up with her.”
“It looks like Leonard has completely won the Sowles power struggle.
“I wonder what kind of storm Roy’s children will stir when they return and see this.”

Chapter 112 The Announcement
Finished
After the will was read, Truman’s body could no longer endure the strain, but he forced himself to speak.
“From today onward, Leonard will be the head of the Sowles. I am removing Roy from all positions within Sowle Group. His actions from this point forward have nothing to do with the Sowles.”
He paused and looked at Roy.
“For the sake of our father–son bond, I will not send you to prison.
“This is the last time I will show you mercy. Take care of yourself.”
As soon as he finished speaking, he broke into violent coughing.
Leonard looked at him, his emotions tangled and heavy.
The father who had always stood tall and unshakable suddenly seemed to age decades in an instant.
He supported his father and led him out of the party hall.
Roy watched their retreating figures, venom filling his eyes.
I’m not letting this end here.
What belongs to me, no one can take.
I’m the one who should be head of the Sowles.
Old man, since you chose to treat me like this, go to hell.
