“You’re just too gifted when it comes to study,” he said bitterly. “To keep up with you, we have to work twice as hard. Things that are easy for you take everything we have.”
He let out a cold laugh.
“If we don’t keep up, we’ll get kicked out of the house. We had no choice but to push ourselves. It’s all your fault. You’re the reason our lives were so hard.”
His voice grew sharper.
“The worst part? You still expected us to hang out with you. Then Julia showed up. She understood our pain. Dad liked her more than you. Do you get it now? Everything you went through back then–you deserved it.”
Larissa nodded slowly. Her face showed no emotion.
So the happy memories she once treasured meant nothing to them.
They had only been nice to her so they could stay.
When someone more important came along, they dropped her without a second thought.
It was never about friendship. It was about survival.
“In that case,” Larissa said calmly, “there’s nothing left between us. I won’t go easy on you again.”
Her eyes turned cold.
“You tried to ruin me. You destroyed my college acceptance letter and my registration form for the Global Academic Competition before so many people. Now you’ll face the consequences.”
Harlan shrugged. He looked smug.
“It’s just paper. I might spend a few days in juvenile detention. I’ve been there before. But you? You won’t be able to join the competition, and your guaranteed college spot is gone. I’d say I win.”
Larissa smiled, but there was no warmth in it.
“You’re not just cruel. You’re foolish.”
She crossed her arms.
“Harlan, do you really think tearing up my registration form and acceptance letter would ruin me?” Larissa said calmly. “Those documents are tied to a fifty–million–dollar scholarship and sponsorship package. Destroying them is a serious crime. You could face at least two years.”
She looked at him with a faint, mocking smile.
“And who told you that without those two pieces of paper, I can’t compete? You’re too naive.”

Chapter 212 We Lies
She pulled out her phone and made a call.

“Hello, Professor Salazar? Someone tore up my registration form and acceptance letter. Could I get new copies?”
She listened for a moment. “Yes? Thank you. Please have them delivered to the school right away.”
She hung up and turned back to Harlan.
“See? Everything you did was a waste of effort. But what you did—stealing and deliberately destroying important documents–you will pay for that.”
Harlan’s face turned pale.
‘That’s impossible! It can’t be that easy to replace them!” he shouted. “I don’t believe you. You must be lying! Does that mean everything I did meant nothing?”
He was almost screaming now.
