As soon as the call ended, Tim sent Larissa a WhatsApp message. He had set the time. It would be held by the day after tomorrow, at the Crown Hotel.
The Crown Hotel was the only seven–star hotel in Marcrest.
Booking a place like that took more than money. It took real connections. Only people with status could get in.
Larissa had not expected Tim to choose that hotel.
“Thanks, Tim. I’ll let my family and friends know and make sure we get there on time,” she replied. “But I hope you can keep it low–key. Please don’t invite people I don’t want there. You know I like to keep a low profile.”
Tim was annoyed.
“Anyone hearing this would think you’re embarassed of me and don’t want anybody to meet me,” he grumbled. “So far, only Lionel and Vince know you’re my student. Do you know how offended I am? This is serious. I just want people to know I took the nation’s top SAT scorer as my student. I want them to envy me a little. I want to brag. What’s wrong with that?”
Then he hung up, still upset.
Even if Larissa didn’t want it, he could still send invitations quietly.
He figured that once the guests showed up, she would not be able to send them away.
So, he immediately called for his assistant.
“Send invitations to everyone in the Wonder Doctor Association,” Tim said. “Invite all my old friends too. I want every invitation sent out. This time, I’m officially handing everything down to my student.”
The assistant looked surprised, but he quickly nodded and left.
As far as he knew, Tim already had three students. All of them were highly respected in their fields. So how could there suddenly be another one who had just finished high school?
He had been with Tim for years and helped manage his business affairs, yet he had never heard
of this student.
The fact that Tim was holding a special party for this student showed just how much he valued
them.

Anyone connected to someone like Tim was bound to have an easy road ahead.
The assistant decided he had to make sure everything went perfectly.
Most of Tim’s friends were powerful people from all kinds of industries, so their schedules had to be cleared in advance. That night, the assistant stayed up late to send out every invitation.
The next morning, Lionel looked at the invitation in his hand and smiled as he stroked his beard.
“I didn’t expect that young lady to be this impressive,” he said. “Not only is she an excellent doctor, but she also did amazingly well in school. No wonder Tim couldn’t wait to tl everyone. If I had a student like that, I’d probably make an even bigger fuss.”
His butler stood beside him respectfully.
“Mr. Lionel, the party is in Marcrest,” the butler reminded him. “Tomorrow, you were also supposed to inspect the new weapons at the Department of Defense. The two events conflict.”
Lionel waved a hand.
