Chapter 305 The Morning After
With that, she pulled 250 dollars from her pocket and shoved it into his jacket.
“There. Now you can keep me company.”

Heat rushed through Wesley. He drew in a deep breath and forced himself to stay calm.
“Larissa, get off me. Stop fooling around.”
But Larissa only got bolder. She leaned in and kissed his cheek.

That snapped the last thread of his patience. Wesley pinned her harshly against the seat. His eyes darkened, and his voice turned low and husky. “You’re asking for trouble.”
Then Larissa suddenly hiccupped. The next second, she fell asleep.
Wesley looked at the quiet girl in his arms and shook his head with a helpless smile.
She knew how to stir him up but not how to deal with the fire she started. Only someone reckless as her could be so fearless.
He steadied himself, told the driver to leave, and had her taken home.
When they reached the villa, Wesley carried her out and rang the bell.
Leonard and Ruby opened the door. The moment they saw Wesley with their daughter draped over him, both of them froze.
How did Larissa know someone like him?
And when did she get involved with a man this dangerous?
Leonard felt a chill run through him.
Even he kept his distance from Wesley in the business world.
Of all people, why did Larissa have to cross paths with him?
Still, Leonard forced himself to stay composed. “Mr. Robinett,” he said carefully, “what happened?”
Wesley set Larissa down gently and gave a brief explanation.
Leonard and Ruby felt both relieved and uneasy. They were grateful that Wesley had brought their daughter home but worried about how Larissa had gotten connected to him at all.

At that moment, Gavin came rushing in, out of breath. The second he saw Wesley, he stopped cold.
Wesley glanced at him and said flatly, “Mr. Sowle, you should keep a better eye on your son. That kind of place isn’t safe. If I hadn’t shown up tonight, who knows what might have happened?”
Gavin quickly lowered his head and apologized.
Then Wesley looked at Larissa again. His gaze softened without him realizing it. “Take care of her.”
With that, he turned to leave.
Leonard quickly said, “Mr. Robinett, thank you for bringing her home. It’s late, so I won’t you, but I’ll visit another day to thank you properly.”
Wesley gave a slight nod and left.
Gavin, meanwhile, had a terrible night. He had been punished all night.
The following morning, Larissa woke up with a severe headache. She tried to remember what had happened the night before. All she could recall was having a drink and getting handsy with a very handsome
guy.
Her eyes widened. She hurried to Gavin’s room and knocked on the door. “Gavin? Are you in there?”
Gavin had not slept all night. After his parents made him stand for three hours, he had only just laid down when the knocking woke him up.
He looked beat, with huge dark circles under his eyes. He opened the door and just stared at her, like she’d done him seriously wrong.
“Larissa, you really are my downfall,” he said pitifully. “Did you do this on purpose? You can’t even handle alcohol, so why drink? Mom and Dad punished me all night because of you.”
He let out a long, dramatic groan.
Larissa went quiet.
My alcohol tolerance was not really that bad, right?
Did I really pass out after one drink?
