Chapter 382 You’re Hopeless
Larissa had just reached the entrance when she suddenly collided with Riley.

The moment she saw Riley’s tear–streaked face, Larissa immediately stepped forward and blocked the way.
“Riley, what happened? Are you feeling unwell? Do you want me to take you to the hospital?”
Riley only kept shaking her head as more tears gathered in her eyes.
What could she possibly say?
Admit that she was actually a woman who had loved Isaac for years?
But Isaac didn’t love her back.
Even if she confessed it now, it would only make things painfully awkward between them from this day forward.
“I’m fine. You came to see Mr. Sowle, right? He’s inside. I’m leaving now.”
After saying that, Riley hurried away in a flustered panic.
Watching her retreating figure, Larissa more or less understood what had happened.
Larissa stepped inside the café and found Isaac sitting there alone.
“Isaac, where’s your blind date?
“I just saw Riley run out crying. What happened?
“You’re not worried that something might happen to him?”
Isaac paused in surprise.
“You said Riley was crying? He’s an adult. It’s not like he cried because of me. There’s no need for me to comfort him.”
Larissa gave him a look as if she wanted to knock some sense into his head. She then described how devastated Riley had looked moments ago.
“He stayed with you through all the hard times. He stood by you when you were at your lowest point.
“Isaac, you always talk about having principles and gratitude. But with Riley, you’re acting a little heartless.”
A surge of emotion rose in Isaac’s chest. “Larissa, what exactly are you trying to say?”
Larissa leaned forward slightly. “What do you actually think about Riley?”
At that moment, a server placed a strawberry milk tea in front of Larissa.

Larissa took a sip happily. “Isaac, this milk tea tastes amazing.”
Isaac assumed his younger sister was just bored and stirring up trouble for fun.
“Larissa, let’s go. Since when did you become so close with Riley?

“He’s only an assistant who’s worked with me for a long time. Why are you so concerned about him?”
Larissa felt the urge to smack him on the head.
How could he still not understand?
“Why are you forcing yourself to go on blind dates? What’s the real reason? I don’t believe you suddenly developed a longing for marriage.”
The question stumped Isaac. After a moment, he said, “Larissa, I’ll figure out my own business. You don’t need to worry about it.”
Larissa sighed. “Fine. Then answer this. If Riley were actually a woman, would you like him?”
Her question was careful, almost like she was testing the waters.
Isaac frowned and fell into deep thought. Riley’s face appeared again in his mind.
If Riley were a woman, I probably would like him. Very much.
