Chapter 61 Facing the Past

Wesley said, “These are some snacks and fruit I prepared for you. Eat a little first. We’ll start the treatment after that.”
Larissa spoke less than usual today.
She picked up a piece of cake and took slow bites.
After completely falling out with Morris, she still felt hurt and sad.
What hurt even more was that Morris had tried to threaten her with those disgusting videos.
They were wounds she never wanted to reopen. They were parts of her past she never wanted to face again.
If Morris had cared about her even a little, he would never have done that.
Sensing that Wonder Doctor was in a low mood, Wesley sat quietly beside her and did not interrupt.
After she finished the cake, she and Wesley walked into the bedroom together.
Larissa spoke calmly.
“Mr. Robinett, when I hypnotized you yesterday, your emotions were very unstable. That means the treatment is working. That memory is the real cause of your insomnia.
“If you can fully walk out of that past today, your insomnia can be cured. Don’t be afraid. Are you ready?”
Wesley had already seen Wonder Doctor’s hypnosis before. He trusted him completely.
“I’m ready.”
Larissa slowly raised her hand and began the hypnosis.
With a soft, sharp sound, Wesley’s eyes gradually closed. He slipped back into a hypnotic state.
Inside his mind, he returned to that painful past.
This time, he saw clearly. The man in leather shoes had been on the phone the whole time.
Who was on the other end of the call? Who wanted to hurt him and his mother?
In the end, his mother used her last bit of strength to push him out of the car.
He could only watch as the car exploded. His mother stayed there forever.
Larissa gently guided him, leading him to face the trauma again. She told him that it was all over now.
Wesley struggled in his mind. His face twisted in pain.
“No… Mom…”

Chapter 61 Facing the Past,
Finished
Larissa saw his tense brows slowly relax. She knew he was breaking through.
At last, Wesley opened his eyes. There were tears in them, but also a sense of relief.
Feeling his pain, Larissa lit a calming incense and spoke softly to comfort him.
“Mr. Robinett, what’s past is past. If your mother could see you from above, she would want you to live well, for both of you.
“I won’t be able to come for treatment starting tomorrow because I’ll be busy.
If you can’t sleep, light a calming incense. If you still can’t sleep, text me.”
Larissa naturally took a tissue and gently wiped the sweat from his forehead.
“Your treatment is already showing results. You’re in much better shape today than yesterday. At this rate, you’ll recover very soon.”
Wesley became fully alert. Watching her gentle movements, a warm feeling rose in his chest.
