Lionel stared at the young girl in shock.

When Tim first praised his student, Lionel hadn’t believed a word. At his age, he trusted only what he could see.

“Mr. Lionel,” Larissa said gently, “take it. I’ll start the treatment.”

He had been watching with wide eyes. At this point, he hurriedly leaned over.

“Kid,” he said, “read my pulse too. My chest hurts. I injured my heart when I was young.

“On clear days, I’m fine. But when it rains, and especially in winter, it feels like needles stabbing my chest. I’ve taken all kinds of medicine and seen many doctors. They all told me to get a heart transplant. But you can swap out your heart when you feel like it. Hurry up and take a look at me. You think you can treat this?”
