Roy looked at Leonard, the mockery in his eyes growing stronger.

“I heard you finally found your youngest daughter. Congratulations,” he said with a cold smile.

He laughed harshly. “What are you still fighting for? You even tried to send me to prison. But in the end, Father still stood on my side.

“Now I’m the CEO. My son is the general manager. The entire company answers to me. What do you have to compete with me?”

He sneered. “That dying son of yours?”

Seeing the pain on Leonard’s face only made Roy more pleased.

“You had six sons. So what? Your eldest is dying. Your second studies medicine but is completely ordinary.

“The third wastes his life racing cars. The fourth wants to be an actor. The fifth plays with perfume and still hasn’t earned a proper mid–tier certification.

Roy shook his head in contempt. “All your sons are failures. And now you want to place your hopes on your youngest daughter?

“I heard she was sent to Ravenmind Island at twelve. People who come out of a place like that end up crazy or broken. You still think she’ll amount to something?”

He scoffed.

“Stop dreaming. Accept reality, Leonard, you can’t beat me.

Leonard stared at him coldly.

“My sons are not failures,” he said firmly.

“You don’t get to judge them. And Larissa is my baby. I will not allow you to insult her.”

As soon as he finished speaking, Leonard swung his fist. Bang!

The punch landed hard on Roy’s face, knocking him back several steps. A red, swollen mark appeared on his cheek at once.

Leonard’s eyes burned with anger and resolve as he stepped forward, one step at a time. Each step carried heavy pressure.

Roy never expected Leonard to dare attack him in the old estate. He panicked and stumbled backward.

At his command, several servants rushed toward Leonard.

Leonard didn’t flinch. His gaze stayed steady. He didn’t care if he got hurt, but no one was allowed to insult his children.

Just as the brothers were about to clash, a deep, commanding voice came from the staircase. “Enough! What do you think you’re doing?”

Truman was coming downstairs.

Roy saw him at once and rushed to complain. “Father, Leonard came back to cause trouble. He even hit me.”

Leonard stood straight, saying nothing.

Truman frowned and swept his gaze across the room.
