Chapter 89 The Will
Truman continued, “Now that she’s back, she should be added to the Sowles tree.

“Bring her to my birthday party tomorrow. I want to introduce my granddaughter to everyone myself.
“So, have you thought about what I said regarding the company?
“The Sowles Group can’t stay in Roy’s hands. His ambition is too big, and he’s too extreme. He’ll destroy everything.
“For my sake, come back and take control.”
Leonard didn’t answer right away.
“I know you’ve never cared about power, but you should think about your children.
“Do you want them to go through the same humiliation that you experienced today?
“Only when you hold real authority in your own hands can no one control you. Haven’t you realized that yet?”
Leonard thought of his sons, his daughter, and the humiliation he’d just endured at the Sowle Estate.
If he had no real power, Roy would never leave his children alone.

In that moment, Truman suddenly seemed much older, no longer the feared head of the Sowles, just an ordinary father.
No one would’ve guessed that the man who built the Sowles empire and ruled without mercy would end up so alone.

Leonard left Eldercrown two years ago after their falling out.
His daughter cut ties with him years ago rather than accept a political marriage, and he hadn’t heard from
her since.
Only his second son stayed by his side.
And that was the one with the greatest ambition of all.

The older he grew, the more he longed for family.
“Dad, I promised Larissa I’d have dinner with her tonight,” Leonard said quietly, almost apologetically.
Then he stood and prepared to leave.
Truman opened his mouth, wanting to stop him, but the words never came.
If he wanted Leonard to truly forgive him, he’d have to prove it.
He let out a heavy sigh.
Seeing him standing there alone, the butler, Derek Castillo, couldn’t bear it and said gently,
“Mr. Sowle, today was a good start. There’s no need to rush. I believe it won’t be long before this house feels alive again.”
Leaning on his cane, Truman watched Leonard’s figure disappear down the hall, his strength draining
away.
