Danielle's gaze met Alexander's for a brief, charged moment. His eyes were as deep and intense as ever. She pursed her lips, and without a trace of sentiment, she tore her gaze away. She reached down to stroke Niki's hair, her voice soft. "Niki, let's go home."
Gian naturally took Niki's backpack, opened the rear door, and guided the mother and daughter inside. Before getting into the driver's seat, he deliberately glanced back at Alexander's car. The windows were tinted, obscuring the person inside, but he could feel the weight of the stare that pierced through the glass. Gian didn't linger. He looked away and started the engine.
As the car pulled away from the school, the cabin was quiet. From the rearview mirror, Gian saw Danielle listening to Niki chatter about her day, as if the encounter at the gate had never happened.
"His showing up here wasn't a coincidence," Gian broke the silence, his voice steady. "This timing, right after announcing the revival of Project 07 and then coming to the school to ask about Niki… it's not that simple."
Danielle's movements faltered for a second before she resumed stroking Niki's hair, her tone nonchalant. "That has nothing to do with me anymore."
Those few words were like an invisible wall, shutting Alexander out of her world completely. It wasn't that she didn't understand Gian's point. She knew Alexander's appearance likely had a purpose, but she was just too tired to be entangled in the people and problems of her past. All she wanted now was to take care of her daughter, focus on her research at Ninesky, and live her own quiet life.

I hope daniele will have no end game with alexander since whatever the reason is, he only give her too much grievencess. I hope there will be another male character with stronger present than alexander to have the end game with daniele.
