"Well, I won't disturb you any longer." Alexander turned and walked toward the door, his steps much heavier than when he had arrived. He paused at the doorway without turning back. "Focus on getting better," he said in a low voice. "I'll handle the work. The project schedule won't be affected." With that, he pushed the door open and left, leaving a heavy silence in his wake.
Danielle looked up toward the empty doorway, her heart a tangle of emotions.
Watching Alexander's retreating back disappear through the doorway, Kirsten felt a surge of anger. "I'll be right back," she told Danielle curtly, grabbing her bag and rushing out after him.
The hospital corridor was bustling with people. Her eyes scanned ahead, quickly spotting the tall figure in a dark gray suit heading for the elevators.
"Alexander, stop!" Kirsten hurried forward, sticking her hand out to hit the open-door button just as the elevator doors were about to close.
Alexander turned. Seeing Kirsten's furious expression, he asked calmly, "Is there a problem?" The elevator doors slid shut, encasing them in the small space, and the atmosphere instantly grew tense.
Kirsten crossed her arms, her sharp gaze fixed on him as if trying to see right through him. "You seem to have a lot of free time, Mr. Davidson. Shouldn't you be taking care of your precious Lorie instead of coming here to 'console' our Danielle?" Alexander leaned against the elevator wall, watching her in silence.

I hope there will be another male character with stronger present than alexander to have the end game with daniele.
