Raffy didn't think much of it and immediately made plans with Niki. "Then I'll come find you to study together. Let's exchange numbers."
The two children exchanged contact information before reluctantly saying their goodbyes.
Harold left first with Raffy. Gian and Kirsten also said their farewells. Before leaving, Gian made a point to tell Danielle, "Drive safe. Call me if you need anything at all."
Eventually, only Danielle, Niki, and Vivian were left in the private room.
Danielle drove, with Niki in the back seat. Likely exhausted from the day's excitement, she soon fell asleep against the seat, her breathing even and steady. The car moved smoothly through the night, the glow of the streetlights flashing across the windows.
Vivian glanced back at the sleeping Niki to make sure she wasn't disturbed, then turned to Danielle in the driver's seat. Her tone grew serious. "What's really going on between you and Alexander? Why did he suddenly show up at the birthday dinner today? What is he trying to do?"
Danielle's hands tightened on the steering wheel, her knuckles turning white.
"Have you forgotten everything he did to you in the past?" Vivian's voice held a note of frustration. "Your uncle has only just started to recover. If he knew you were getting tangled up with Alexander again, how angry do you think he'd be?"
Love was no longer a reckless impulse; it was tangled up with too many practical considerations. Even though she now understood Alexander's difficult position and empathized with his years of hardship and silent suffering—especially after learning about his severe depression—the turmoil in her heart was overwhelming. She truly didn't know what to do.
"I can see that Alexander has you in his heart, too," Vivian's voice softened, tinged with a hint of melancholy. "You two clearly love each other. I don't know why things ended up this way; you were never willing to tell me the details."
She paused, watching the city lights fly by before continuing softly. "Life is just over thirty thousand days. It passes in the blink of an eye. Why must you keep struggling in misery? If there's still love in your heart, you should talk it out openly. Don't let misunderstandings deepen until you're left with a lifetime of regret."
Danielle remained silent as tears finally welled up, blurring her vision.

I hope daniele will have no end game with alexander since whatever the reason is, he only give her too much grievencess. I hope there will be another male character with stronger present than alexander to have the end game with daniele. Hated that in the name of love or protection alexander can treat another woman better, not just once, but with this new lorie girl... Oh my blood pressure getting higher cause by the new plot :(...

OMG! Chapters 451-462 had me on edge. I wish we could also read Alexander's POV. I swear I want to punch him and Millie. This story is kind of a push and pull. The main character will win some, then lose some. Hope the writer gives Danielle a big win....
