Danielle clutched the route map in her hand.

She turned to look at a hidden compartment in the nightstand.
Inside was a palm-sized sample chip she had retrieved from a pile of lab waste when the guards weren't looking.
The chip contained the core evidence of Harold’s misappropriation of data from the 07 fighter jet project and his collusion with foreign powers.
Handing it over would be enough to deal a devastating blow to both Harold and Lorie.
Danielle carefully tucked the chip into the inner pocket of her thermal suit, securing it with tape to ensure it wouldn't get lost during their escape.
Once that was done, she took a deep breath, opened the door, and slipped into the snowy night.
The rendezvous point was behind an abandoned warehouse, a blind spot for the cameras.
As Danielle rounded the corner, she saw a familiar figure.
