“What is he doing here?” Bianca’s voice was edged with displeasure.
Danielle stood up, about to explain, but Bianca had already strode over.
She looked down at Raffy, her tone icy.
“This is not a place you should be. You have no blood ties to the Davidson family.”
She turned to Alexander, her brows tightly furrowed.
“Alex, get him out of here! Send him to an orphanage! It’s not like he’s never been there before!”
Raffy’s crying stopped instantly.
He looked at Bianca in terror, his small body trembling uncontrollably.
The grandmother who had once loved him most was now the one who wanted him gone.
Danielle quickly moved to shield him, trying to reason with her mother-in-law.
“Mom, Raffy is just a child. He’s innocent…”
“Innocent?” Bianca scoffed. “His father was a traitor, and his mother was…”
Before she could finish, footsteps sounded from the doorway.
Paula Davidson walked in, handbag in tow.
Seeing the scene in the living room and Raffy cowering behind Danielle, a surge of anger rose within her.
“What is he doing back here?!” she shrieked.
She couldn’t believe that even after the Chapman family had fallen so far, this little bastard still had the audacity to show his face at the Davidson manor.
The atmosphere in the living room instantly dropped to a freezing point.
Raffy shrank behind Danielle, clutching the hem of her clothes, his eyes filled with fear and confusion.
