As soon as he entered, he was bowing and scraping before Alexander, a fawning smile plastered on his face. “Mr. Davidson, what brings you here?”
“This is a failure of our school’s management, I assure you. We will handle this with the utmost seriousness!”
Principal Evans then turned to Bacon, his expression hardening as he scolded him sharply, “Bacon!”
“How dare you bully a classmate and insult his family! Starting tomorrow, you are suspended! Go home and reflect on your mistakes!”
Wanda’s face was ashen. She wanted to say something, but a single look from the principal silenced her.
She knew the situation was lost. Causing any more trouble would only bring further embarrassment to her family.
Alexander didn’t spare them another glance. He turned, walked over to Niki and Raffy, and pulled both children into his arms before giving Danielle a gentle smile.
“It’s alright now, it’s over,” Alexander said, stroking the children’s heads. His voice was warm. “If anyone bullies you again, don’t be afraid. You both handled it very well today.”
Back in the office, Wanda and Bacon were long gone. The teacher stood to one side, apologizing profusely and full of guilt.
Alexander simply gave a faint nod, took Danielle’s hand, and led the two children out of the office.
As they walked out of the school gates, Niki looked up at Alexander. “Dad, you were amazing back there.”
Alexander looked down at his daughter’s bright smile, and the coldness in his eyes completely melted away, replaced by a gentle warmth.
Watching the scene unfold, the fear and anxiety in Raffy’s heart gradually dissipated.
