Danielle had just reached the entrance of the Aerospace Institute when her phone rang. Kirsten’s name flashed across the screen.
She answered, but before she could say a word, Kirsten’s furious voice erupted from the other end. “Danielle! What the hell is going on over there? Have you seen all that garbage they’re spreading about you online? Are they insane? The situation with Raffy was cleared up ages ago—he’s not even your biological son! Why are they digging that up and twisting it now?”
Leaning against a sycamore tree by the road, Danielle answered, her voice tired but much calmer than before. “I saw it. But don’t worry, the Institute is already handling it. They’ll issue a clarification soon.”
“A clarification? How? That woman, Lorie, is obviously up to no good!” Kirsten was still seething. “I bet she’s the one who started these rumors to drive you out of the Institute and make Alexander completely despise you! You can’t be so passive. You need to fight back, not just endure it!”
“I know what she’s trying to do,” Danielle sighed softly. “But it’s useless to say anything more right now. The more you try to explain away rumors, the messier it gets. The Institute told me to lie low at home for a few days, which is fine by me. I could use a break. There’s been so much going on lately, I’m exhausted.”
The line went silent for a few seconds before Kirsten’s tone softened. “You’re right. You really should get some rest. But don’t let your guard down. I’ll keep an eye on things online for you. If anyone dares to spread more lies, I won’t let them get away with it! By the way, how’s Niki? Has she heard anything?”

OMG! Chapters 451-462 had me on edge. I wish we could also read Alexander's POV. I swear I want to punch him and Millie. This story is kind of a push and pull. The main character will win some, then lose some. Hope the writer gives Danielle a big win....
