Lily stupidly looked around to realize Jane was right and stormed out of the water or tried to.

But as a result she slipped and fell once more, smacking her face onto a lotus leaf.

“Look at her!!” Jane pointed, laughing loudly and I couldn’t help but grin as well. Meanwhile, Marcus rushed forward to offer Lily a hand.

“Oh no, don’t worry, we will save you.”

But when he couldn’t pull her out he asked one of the four attendants standing in a line and one finally managed to pull her back.

Sandra and her friends rushed to her, worrying and fussing over her while Jane continued to cackle.

Lily finally turned to look at her and jabbed her finger in the air as if stabbing it while pointing at Jane.

“You filthy vixens. You have no class, no shame and no life because laughing at others is what gives you pleasure. I will have a word with my mother and ensure your pack suffers for this.”

The mention of a pack made Jane’s smile die down a little because hers was a lesser known pack and they had limited connections or resources. Lily belonged to a wealthy one and this could seriously make Jane’s pack suffer.

“Oh, wait, do you even have one?” Lily continued mockingly while Marcus rushed forward to give her clean towels.

She took them and was wiping herself as she continued to humiliate Jane.

“I know poor, desperate girls like you who are trained from childhood to lure handsome and rich men to marry you so you can get that innocent man to look after your entire pack’s finances. And looking at you, I am sure no good looking guy has even looked at you so you are jealous of us who got the chance.”

She then looked at Sandra. “Now I truly know what you go through with that bitch.”

She said, pointing at me and my hackles rose.

“Stop projecting, girl. Atleast I dont pretend to be a friend and fuck around with my so–called best friend’s guy.”

The words were out before I could take them back. Shit.

I had not even meant to say it out loud but this whole two faced acting of Lily was beginning to truly annoy

The only sound was that of my labored breathing as Sandra blinked in confusion.

“What?” She asked aloud.

No, this was not how I wanted her to know. Hell, I wasn’t even sure if I wanted to tell her after her attitude since morning.

I had wanted to talk to Aaron first but now that wasn’t possible anymore.

Lily looked like a deer caught in headlights for just a second before she curled her fingers into fists.

“What the hell are you talking about?” She asked, raising her voice.

Marcus‘ face fell again as he thought of a way to resolve the issue.

“Ladies, please, relax. We were having so much fun with all the activities…”

“Shut your damn mouth for a while if you love your job” Lily threatened and the poor guy did as asked.

Lily then looked at Sandra, taking her hands in hers.

“You know these two are extremely jealous of us, of our friendship right? They have been trying to make us fight ever since they arrived. You really shouldn’t have called them at all.”

Lily continued to talk sweetly to Sandra, poisoning her mind.

Sandra, being the stupid blonde she was, easily believed her.

“Of course, Lily. I only invited them because somehow Aaron wants to be friends with that ‘pick–me‘ even after she slapped him.”

“Wait what?” Lily put her hands on her lips, letting out an exaggerated gasp.

“This….this nobody hit your boyfriend? And you let it slide? How can you be so forgiving and lovely, Sandra?”

Her other friends seemed to agree and all nodded as well.

“Yeah Sandra, how can you even think of inviting here if she dared slap your boyfriend?”

“He was and is my friend long before she came, okay?” I shouted out loud because they were pretending that I wasn’t standing right there.

“Yeah, really?” Becca looked at me while rubbing Sandra’s shoulder. “That is your excuse for hitting your best friend?”

“Look, I dont want any drama. Just go back to your massages or whatever it is you wanted to do.”

Camille opened her mouth to argue something but then Lily quickly spoke.

“You know what? That’s the only good thing she has spoken so far.” she then looked at her friends.
