Lucas's gaze locked onto Lilah's lifeless body, a rare shred of humanity finally piercing his cold, killer eyes.
"What did you feed her?" His voice shook with barely contained devastation.
Nobody answered him.
"I asked you what the hell you fed her!"
"We have no idea," Sloane answered calmly. "I wasn't lying. She's the only one who knows what poison she packed."
The very next second, Lucas unleashed a guttural, agonizing scream that tore through the freezing air.
Bam!
He moved with such lethal velocity that no one had time to brace themselves.
Lucas spun around, planting a brutal kick squarely into Josh's chest! Josh flew backward, slamming hard into the snow and rolling twice. In the exact same motion, Lucas snapped his elbow back, shattering it directly into Professor Harrison's face! Harrison grunted in pain, stumbling back as the handgun slipped from his grip and clattered onto the ice.
Without skipping a beat, Lucas lunged straight for the dropped weapon.
"I'm going to slaughter every single one of you for what you did to her!"
Josh scrambled out of the snow, instantly reading the killer's trajectory. Ignoring his crushed ribs, he launched himself through the air, tackling Lucas by the legs!
Both men crashed violently onto the frozen ground.
"Professor! The gun!" Josh roared.
Harrison was already charging back in. Blood poured from a gash near his eye, but he didn't even flinch. Seeing Lucas's fingers inches from the grip, Harrison threw his entire body weight onto the man, violently pinning his dominant arm down.
The three of them thrashed across the snow in a savage, desperate brawl.
Diego was absolutely terrified, scrambling backward on his hands and knees, while Sloane went deathly pale, instinctively retreating to a safe distance.
Lucas's strength was completely inhuman.
Thrashing like a wounded beast, he viciously fought off both men. He landed a sickening punch across Josh's jaw, kicked Harrison hard in the gut, and flipped over, desperately trying to get back on his feet—
Josh wrapped his arms around the assassin's waist in a death grip, dragging him backward!
Harrison scrambled up and dove right back in, crushing Lucas's legs with everything he had!
"Get the hell off me!"
Lucas screamed, the veins in his arms bulging as he clawed his way across the ice. His fingertips were less than three feet from the weapon.
Two feet.
One foot.
Inches away—
Josh's eyes were bloodshot with sheer desperation. Pouring every last ounce of strength into his legs, he viciously kicked the gun away!
