The officers were stunned by the sudden violence and quickly rushed in to pry Theodore away from Harvey.

Just as the chaos settled, a search team emerged from the woods, hauling Heather with them.

Seeing his daughter in police custody, Harvey became frantic.

"She had absolutely nothing to do with this! You can't pin my crimes on her!"

"Save it for the judge. We'll conduct a full investigation to see exactly how involved she was," an officer barked at Harvey, then turned to the search team. "Any sign of Heath?"

"No. She claims she already got him across the border," one of the officers replied.

Heather looked utterly wrecked. She was coated in thick mud from head to toe and had clearly sprained her ankle after taking a nasty fall down a steep embankment while trying to escape. Capturing her had been incredibly easy.

"Heather, I dragged you into this mess. I'm so sorry!" Harvey cried, his heart breaking at the sight of her.

Heather stared blankly ahead, completely catatonic from the shock, until her father's voice finally snapped her back to reality.

"Dad... I got him across the border. He's safe."

Harvey nodded tearfully. "Good girl. You saved your brother's life."

As the officers pushed her into the room, Heather caught sight of Theodore and Penelope. Mortified by her own pathetic state, she quickly ducked her head, refusing to meet their eyes.

"If Heath is already across the border, this complicates things drastically. We'll have to coordinate with international authorities, which means navigating a mountain of red tape," the lead officer said with a heavy sigh.

"They went through extreme lengths to smuggle him out. They've definitely secured an underground clinic overseas ready to operate," Penelope noted, a deep frown creasing her forehead.

The horrific reality settled over the room: another innocent life was about to be harvested.
