Chapter 113 I Don’t Owe Her
Every word Whitney said hit Eric like a razor–sharp blade, cutting right through him.
His first reaction was pure disbelief.
His second thought was, ‘So, what’s Whitney up to this time? Another one of her tricks?
‘What does she mean by saying that she doesn’t want to pamper us anymore?
What does she mean by saying that she’s not interested anymore?
‘What does she mean by saying that she doesn’t want us, doesn’t care anymore?
‘Is she seriously acting like staying with the Anderson family is her doing us a favor, like we’re the ones who should be thankful to her?‘
Eric couldn’t believe Whitney would really walk away from everything the Anderson family gave her.
After all, ‘Whitney was a country girl from a poor county. If it weren’t for the Anderson blood in her veins, there was no way she’d ever have the chance to make it to a city as dazzling as Roynfort.
She’d finally made it out of the poor county, experienced Roynfort’s glitz and the luxury of high society.
Eric wondered, ‘Why would she ever let all that go?
‘If Whitney really cut ties with the Anderson family, she’d be completely lost in Roynfort.
‘And living the high life the Anderson family gave her? That’s out of the question.
‘This is definitely Whitney’s latest scheme to get herself accepted by the Anderson family, pretending to step back to pressure me into acknowledging her as my sister.
‘As if I’d ever fall for that.’
“Fine. You want to cut ties with us? Sure. Let’s cut ties!” Eric shot back.
He figured that by not responding the way Whitney expected, she’d be thrown off.
His words got sharper. “Honestly, I’ve been dying to cut you off for ages. I never once saw you as my sister. Emily’s the only real sister I’ve ever had. You? You’re an outsider.
“An outsider who tried to snatch us away from Emily.
“You think because you share some blood, you can replace Emily? Let me tell you, never in a million years. Whitney, you’ll never, ever be part of the Anderson family.
“Whitney, from now on, you have nothing to do with the Anderson family. Stop bothering us, and stay away from Emily!
“From now on, every time I see you, I’ll make you regret it! You’re not an Anderson; you mean nothing to me now.”
Eric scoffed inwardly, ‘This little sister is so naive.
‘Does she really think she’s Emily, trying to threaten me by saying she’ll cut ties?
‘Honestly, I can’t wait to have nothing to do with this damn woman!‘
Because of her, Emily had been secretly crying more times than Eric could count.
If he could really cut ties with her, he’d jump at the chance. He’d be all for it.
Even now, Eric was completely oblivious to how serious things really were.
He was lost in his own world, venting his hatred for Whitney without a second thought.
Everything he said wasn’t to call out Whitney’s true intentions; he wanted to see her panic and eventually beg him for mercy.
And yes, every single word he said came straight from the heart. He meant every bit of it.
After Eric finished, Whitney gave a careless, nonchalant smirk and let out a cold laugh.
In the moonlight, her striking eyes were calm and icy, completely devoid of emotion.
She remained utterly unmoved by all his harsh words and angry outbursts.
“Seriously, what the hell is wrong with your brains? Did the whole Anderson family grow up with shit for brains or something? Is your head full of crap, or is there actually anything else in there?” Whitney snapped.
Her voice was cold, dripping with sarcasm. “You guys were the ones who had to drag me back into the Anderson family. Your mom was the one sobbing and begging me to come back.
“If it wasn’t for your mother, begging me and saying she wanted to make up for all the motherly love I missed out on, for the

family she owed me, do you really think I would’ve come back otherwise?
“And about Emily.”
Whitney paused, her voice dripping with sarcasm, the kind of scorn that seemed to seep from her bones. “She got to live the life that should’ve been mine, got all the love that was meant for me.
“I don’t owe her a damn thing. She’s the one who owes me. Understand?”
Her condescending gaze bore down on Eric, almost crushing him under its weight
He wanted to snap back, to say something.
But he couldn’t get a single word out.
He was desperate to stand up for Emily, to prove that Whitney was the one who owed her.
But no matter how fast his mind raced, he couldn’t find a single thing to say back.
His face twisted in desperation.
Whitney, standing a short distance away, watched Eric’s desperate, clownish look. He was like a helpless fool, unable to defend himself at all.
The icy indifference in her gaze grew sharper.
Her tone stayed emotionless, indifferent. “So? Figured out how stupid you are? Realized your brain’s broken yet?
“I was the idiot who believed your lies, who stayed with the Anderson family and put up with all your silent cruelty. “Don’t forget what you said. I’m done with you and the Anderson family. We’re nothing to each other now.
“I hope you and Emily are chained together forever, locked tight, never to break free.”
“May you two be bound together in life and in death, never able merciless.
Eric felt his heart drop suddenly.
He thought, ‘Something’s off.
‘Is Whitney actually for real this time?
‘Is she really about to cut ties with the Anderson family?‘
escape each other, Whitney thought, her eyes cold and
He couldn’t shake the memory of how Whitney had confronted Chase on that live stream.
Eric felt himself growing more and more uneasy, panic creeping in stronger than ever.
But it wasn’t because he was worried about losing Whitney.
It was because the little sister he’d always kept under his thumb, always at his mercy, was suddenly breaking free from his control!
Just as Eric was gripped by panic, Whitney’s cold, indifferent voice rang out.
“Return the favor,” she said, her voice icy and detached.
After those three cold words, Whitney turned and headed for the factory gate.
Eric’s pupils shrank suddenly.
Eric was confused by her words.
He recalled what he’d told Tommy.
› Eric had a bad feeling about this.
Eric’s face fell, and he called out, “Whitney!”
But that was all he could say.
Whitney was already walking away, her shadow stretching long beneath the silver moonlight.
At the gate, she paused.
She turned her head, glancing back at him.
Even if the distance was great.
Even when everything around was shrouded in darkness.
Eric saw them clearly, eyes that held nothing but chilling indifference.
Her gaze poured over him like a flood of freezing water in the dead of winter.
Chapter 113/Don’t Owe Her
It sent a chill straight through his soul.
Eric was left utterly speechless.
It was a single glance.
Whitney turned away again, walking off without the slightest hesitation.
He snapped back to himself, gritting his teeth as he shouted Whitney’s name.
But Whitney never looked back. She was gone for good.
Standing in front of him were Tommy and his six crew.
Tommy looked at him, swallowed hard, his nerves obvious. “Mr. Anderson, it’s not that I don’t want to let you go, but you saw it yourself. She’s way out of our league. We wouldn’t dare cross her.
“If you want to blame someone, blame yourself. You had to mess with her, didn’t you?
“We’re here to finish the job. Just close your eyes, grit your teeth, and bear it. It’ll be over before you know it.”
Eric was left speechless.
Eric thought, ‘Over? What do you mean, over?
‘I’m screwed. There’s no way I’m getting through this!‘
His eyes went wide as he watched Tommy’s crew set up the very camera he’d brought himself.
