“I already submitted the drafts. I just met with her, and she was very pleased,” Celestine said with a faint smile.
“What?!” Bagehot frowned. “Why didn’t you inform the company about something so important? Do you have any idea how serious the consequences could be if there’s a problem? Next time, you need to at least give us a heads-up. Besides, Yolande is a huge admirer of your work and really wants to learn from you.”
Celestine replied coolly, “My apologies, Mr. Kelsey. It won’t happen again.”
Bagehot’s usual gentle expression vanished.
Just as he was about to say more, Celestine cut in, “By the way, Miss Eleanor was so satisfied with my designs that she’s adding another five hundred thousand dollars. And these things I brought back weren’t my purchases. They were gifts from her.”
Yolande stared with envy at the pile of luxury goods on the table.
These were all high-end brands!
Even with the Kelsey family’s wealth and willingness to spoil her, they were never this generous.
Why did all the good things happen to this bitch Celestine?
She secretly tugged on Bagehot’s sleeve, giving him a look.
Bagehot cleared his throat. “Celly, strictly speaking, this is a gift from a client, which makes it company property. You should share it with the colleagues who worked hard alongside you.”
“That’s exactly what I was thinking,” Celestine said, picking up the bags and glancing at Yolande.
Yolande lifted her chin smugly.
She really was lucky.
Celestine had worked herself to the bone on those drafts, and in the end, she would still have to give a share of the gifts to her.
She had already set her sights on the jewelry from Loro’s.
That one diamond alone was worth hundreds of thousands.
Yolande’s eyes were practically glued to it.
