Three Years Forgotten, Why Go Crazy When I Say Goodbye? novel Chapter 241

“I won’t be for much longer,” Willow said, her voice dripping with ice.

“That’s not up to you to decide.”

“And you think it’s up to you?”

Julian let out a dark, mocking laugh. “Do you really have to speak to me like this?”

Willow shot him a sideways glare. “How else should I speak to you? I’m already holding back.”

If she hadn’t been trying so hard to keep her temper in check, a string of curses would have already flown from her lips.

“Just leave. We have nothing left to say to each other. If we ever need to see each other again, it’ll be in a courtroom.”

She couldn’t even be bothered to ask why he had come today. Having dismissed him, she turned to walk away.

But just as she took a step, Julian’s voice cut through the air behind her. “What, in such a rush to get back? Is someone waiting for you at the hospital?”

Willow stopped dead in her tracks. Someone was indeed waiting for her, but it was absolutely nothing like the dirty implication in his tone. It was cheap, disrespectful, and totally uncalled for.

“What are you implying?” she demanded, spinning around to face him.

“Isn't it obvious?” Julian stood up, closing the distance between them. “Do I need to remind you about the fireworks on New Year's Eve?”

It clicked instantly. He had seen them. But she and Silas Thorne weren’t in that kind of relationship, and she absolutely refused to let him drag Silas’s name through the mud.

“You think everyone is as twisted as you?” She gave him a look of pure disgust. “Don’t project your own filthy mindset onto other people.”

In his mind, the only possible explanation was that she had fallen for another man.

Willow just looked at him like he was a lunatic, completely ignoring his outburst.

How could anything be real between her and Silas? The man already had someone he liked.

At best, it was a one-sided, entirely unrealistic crush on her end.

But she owed Julian exactly zero explanations. “Whether it's true or not, what does it have to do with you?”

“Willow!” Julian barked. “Do you even hear what you're saying?”
