Three Years Forgotten, Why Go Crazy When I Say Goodbye? novel Chapter 244

Vivienne was already there when Willow arrived, feeding the koi fish by the pond with Toby. The moment she spotted Willow, her face twisted into a mask of pure, unadulterated fury. She looked ready to rip Willow apart. "What are you doing here?"

Willow ignored her completely. She casually picked up a pebble from the path and tossed it directly into the water. The fish that had been swarming near Toby instantly scattered in a chaotic splash.

Toby burst into loud, dramatic sobs, glaring at Willow. "You old lady! You mean lady!"

He only ever had those two insults in his arsenal, so Willow couldn't care less. Seeing his spoiled little face crumple actually brought her a spark of satisfaction, and she gave him a deliberately provoking smirk.

Vivienne immediately pulled Toby into her arms, cooing to soothe him before snapping her venomous glare back to Willow. "I asked you a question! Why are you here? Do you have any idea what today is? This is no place for you!"

Willow crossed her arms, looking down at her with cool detachment. "Why don't you ask your husband why I'm here? He's the one who dragged me out. As for his reasons, your guess is as good as mine."

She shot a pointed glance toward Julian, who was standing a short distance away.

Vivienne bristled instantly. She had, in her own mind, considered Julian her husband for a long time. But since he had never actually given her a solid commitment, she didn't dare claim the title so publicly.

She put on a show of flustered outrage. "What nonsense are you spewing?"

The temperature around Julian seemed to drop ten degrees. "Can you just shut your mouth for one minute?" he snapped.

He then turned a similarly dark look on Vivienne. "And can you stop causing a scene?"

Willow didn't care in the slightest, but Vivienne looked absolutely devastated. Her eyes instantly welled with tears. To be fair, she actually was catching strays this time.

Seeing his mother upset, Toby clenched his tiny fists, his teeth grinding in anger.
