Three Years Forgotten, Why Go Crazy When I Say Goodbye? novel Chapter 319

Refusing to believe Willow could dismantle her work so quickly, Vivienne dug her heels in. "Impossible. You're talking nonsense! I spent an entire year researching this. You think you can just glance at it and declare it wrong? If science were that easy, why do we even run experiments? We should all just bring our work to you for a visual inspection."

Her logic wasn't entirely wrong. True research required countless days and nights of obsessive dedication; some things couldn't be debunked at a passing glance. But Willow was absolutely certain because she was the one who had originally drafted that very conclusion. The experiment hadn't been finished when she left, so she had placed a question mark next to that specific theory.

She never imagined Vivienne would be foolish enough to copy it verbatim.

"You're right; most things can't be debunked at a glance. But what if the research was originally mine, and you simply stole it? In that scenario, I don't think anyone in this room is more qualified to speak on it than I am."

The confrontation had reached a boiling point. The underlying feud between the two women was now glaringly obvious, and the rest of the room sat in stunned, breathless silence.

Vivienne knew panicking would only doom her. Since things had escalated this far, her only survival strategy was absolute denial. Without a smoking gun, Willow's words were just accusations.

She let out a cold scoff, maintaining her haughty facade. "Willow, you're representing Merit Biotech. You can't just throw out baseless accusations. You better produce actual evidence proving my conclusion is flawed."
