He cleared his throat and answered methodically. "Director Horgan has been eating well. She's been going to her usual lunch spots and finishing her meals."

Arthur knew this for a fact because he had spent the last few days inventing excuses to crash her lunch breaks, purely to observe her routine and report back to his boss.

"Good."

Hearing the tension dial back slightly in Silas's voice, Arthur continued. "As for her health... it might just be the changing seasons, but I did hear her cough a couple of times."

The words had barely left his mouth before Silas snapped, "She coughed? Where? In her office or at the restaurant?"

"In her office, during a meeting," Arthur replied, not daring to omit a single detail.
